J-Lo is making a career transition: LinkedInfluencer.
As part of the campaign for her upcoming Netflix flick âOffice Romance,â the rom-com queen is taking the opportunity to update her LinkedIn profile, with a few fictional jobs mixed in.
The music legendâs virtual CV now reflects some of her most-loved movie jobs: a custodian with dreams of management (âMaid in Manhattanâ), a lovelorn wedding planner (âThe Wedding Plannerâ), a bride-to-be in shotgun wedding (âShotgun Weddingâ) and, of course, her latest role as the CEO of Air Cruz in âOffice Romance.â
The raunchy romantic comedy, which stars Lopez, âTed Lassoâ star Brett Goldsteinâ and âGLOWâ alum Betty Gilpin, tells the story of a secret office romance and the trouble two workaholics get in when they start thinking with their hearts.
(But since weâre talking about LinkedIn, you should be aware the new project is apparently pretty racy.)
Lopez shared the news in a cheeky Instagram video teasing her ânew role.â The stunt is the latest step in Netflixâs robust LinkedIn strategy: growing fandoms at work, with a little guerrilla marketing.
For a Webby-nominated âSquid Gameâ campaign, the streamer allowed fans to apply on LinkedIn to become a fearsome Pink Guard for a day, earning the chance to attend the premiere in New York. âEmily in Parisâ also got the LinkedIn treatment as no-nonsense boss Sylvie Grateau earned praise for touting her deeply French style of business.
Studios have been steadily shifting focus to the networking platform for the last decade â 20th Century Fox created a campaign for Liam Neesonâs âparticular set of skillsâ in âTaken 3â back in 2015. Meanwhile, multi-hyphenate celebs like Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Alba and Shaq have leveraged their star power on the platform to promote their latest projects.
Lopezâs update is timed to stir up some hype for the âOffice Romanceâ trailer, which debuts on Thursday ahead of the filmâs release on June 5.
Letâs hope she accepts our request to connect!
