Ireland Baldwin asks for help as family takes shelter amid terrifying weather alert

As the East Coast of America continues to face critical thunderstorms, parts of North Carolina were sent a tornado weather warning on July 29, including Ireland Baldwin and her family.

The model and expectant mom, daughter to Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, took to Instagram to share a video of her family – including what followers believed to be mom Kim – as they stood waiting in a basement for the warning to lift.

Ireland’s daughter, four-year-old Holland, was seen playing on the floor, while Ireland’s partner, the musician known as RAC, paced the floor. Ireland also included a screengrab of the alert that was sent to all phones.

The warning called it an “imminent threat alert,” reminding all who received it that a tornado warning was in effect until 6.45pm local time. “Take shelter in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building,” it read.

“Baby’s first tornado warning! HELLO, I’m from LA. I don’t know what is going on! But I don’t like it!” Ireland captioned the video, with followers reminding them to stay safe and follow the alerts.

The family is currently on the East Coast, possibly in Asheville, NC, which also on July 29 received a series of tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings that also extended into South Carolina.

It was the first tornado warning the area received in 17 years. A day before, tornadoes swept through Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Ireland and RAC – real name André Allen Anjos – are  currently expecting their second babyand live in the tiny town of Gearhart, Oregon, with their six dogs.

Ireland, who has become a mom-fluencer on TikTok, has been raising her daughter on the farm, and sharing videos of the mud kitchens and fairy homes she has been helping her daughter create.

In May, she shared with followers how overjoyed she was that her “two soul dogs — Kota, my husky and London, my GS — would ever get to meet a child of mine.”

“I’ve had Kota and London since I was 18 and 20 years old. I can’t believe my little human gets to be loved by them,” Ireland captioned a video of her daughter walking outside with a dog.

Ireland and RAC moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2020 and opened a cafe/bar called Good Times after the owner of the local pub, Sweet Shop, retired and urged Ireland to take over the historical property, which celebrates its 100-year anniversary this year.

However, it closed in 2023.

“Sad times, this time,” Ireland shared at the time. “I love this place and am so proud of all the hard work that went into it. I have some thoughts I’m looking forward to sharing but when the timing is right.”
