Friends actress Courteney Cox has reportedly ended her 13-year relationship with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid.

The 62-year-old actress, known to millions for her role as Monica Geller in the sitcom Friends, and Johnny have enjoyed a long-distance romance for years, as Courtney is based in Los Angeles with her daughter Coco while musician Johnny 49, has been based in London.

HELLO! has contacted reps for Courteney and Johnny for comment. The Mail on Sunday was first to report the news. However, this has not been the first time the pair have split.

“Three years in, we broke up, and it was really intense. We broke up in therapy. I didn’t know it was coming, whether I should have or not,” Courteney said during an April 2024 episode of the Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver podcast. “He just broke up within the first minute. And I was like, what? We were engaged, and I was so shocked. I was in so much pain.”

In 1989, the Scream actress started dating fellow actor Michael Keaton. The two met after Courteney told a friend how much she admired Michael’s acting and had their first date at her Santa Monica home.

During their relationship, Courteney and Michael were very private, choosing to spend their time at home and rarely making red carpet appearances. After six years, the couple called it quits.

The next long-term relationship in Courteney’s life was with the Snow Patrol musician, Johnny McDaid. The two met at a house party the actress hosted in 2013, and she had an instant crush on him.

Over the course of their relationship, Courteney and Johnny had many ups and downs. In June 2014, the couple announced their engagement on Twitter, but just a year later, they called it off.

After a few months apart, the two reunited over lunch with Courteney’s daughter, although the actress wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.

“We were engaged for over a year and then we broke up,” Courteney shared while on an episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls. “He’s from Ireland. And the way he regards love is precious. We have to treat it in a different way.”

The couple went on to have a happy relationship over the next several years, traveling across the world together and celebrating each other’s wins. But after 13 years together, the two have called it quits.
