Helen Skelton looked stunning in brand new bikini snaps as she shared a glimpse into her wholesome family holiday in the countryside. The TV presenter shows off her sculpted back and toned arms as she leaned over the edge of a hot tub to enjoy a forest-filled sunset.

Helen looked picture-perfect in a black bikini with thick straps, her hair scraped back into a laid-back bun, wearing what appeared to be minimal makeup.

The 43-year-old shared a carousel of pictures and videos while enjoying a getaway with Forest Holidays alongside her three children, Ernie, 11, Louis, nine and Elsie, four. Helen celebrated her 43rd birthday on 19 July.

The blonde beauty took part in a number of thrilling activities with her brood, including mountain biking through the forest, axe throwing, hiking, and the odd relaxing dip in the hot tub at the end of the day.

Captioning her holiday snaps, she wrote: “Hit jackpot with this long weekend in the forest
.. Thanks for having us @forestholidays it’s hard to find something that keeps the adults and the kids happy, but this did and then some. Absolutely wonderful staff, super helpful and friendly. Immaculate lodge with everything for home from home. Endless bike trails and walks that kept my bike mad boys entertained and tested. The sun shone, and the BBQ was stocked.”

Helen, who co-presented Blue Peter between 2008 and 2013, has been parenting her children solo since 2022, when she separated from their father, retired rugby player Richie Myler.

The family of four now enjoy a quiet life together in Cumbria, which is located less than an hour from Helen’s birth town in Carlisle.

She made the decision to abandon her position at the BBC in 2023, explaining that she wanted to spend more time with her children. Signing off at the time, she told listeners: “I am not all right about it but, you know, needs must. The juggle is real. There is an eight-year-old with a sideline who needs me.”

Single motherhood

Although she is enjoying the chance to spend more quality time with her kids, she admitted after quitting her job that things weren’t always plain sailing and that family life could be tough.

“Why do we put pressure on ourselves to present this picture-perfect image to the outside world when the reality of family busy life is that it’s chaotic, it’s busy, a bit rough around the edges, and that’s what life is,” she said candidly in an interview with The Independent.

“Me and my friends describe it as fifth gear or no gear, and I think you just have to take the pressure off a bit and accept that’s what it is.”

The former presenter has spoken about the realities of motherhood on a number of occasions, admitting that her expectations of perfection were quickly quashed when she had children of her own. “I think everybody’s doing the best they can, and it’s just about taking the pressure off.”
