Heidi Klum and Seal’s daughter stuns in sheer dress with striking look

Heidi Klum’s daughter, Leni, is embracing an ethereal approach to her sartorial agenda, marked by the sheer dress trend.

The rising model took to her Instagram Stories on July 27 to show off her latest stylish look. Leni posed in an opaque baby-blue gown featuring a backless silhouette and a ruffled, asymmetrical hem that gathered elegantly at the waist. The dress was embellished with bejeweled blue motifs, while a daring thigh-high slit and delicate spaghetti straps completed the ethereal design.

Leni’s luscious locks were styled into mermaid waves while her face was cut out of the photograph. At its core, the naked dress trend is defined by its barely-there materials, sheer mesh, metallic knits, chainmail, lace, and airy organza all play a part in its ethereal appeal.

The sheer dress has emerged as a defining runway trend, with Jonathan Anderson showcasing diaphanous silhouettes at Dior, while Matthieu Blazy championed soft pastel mousseline midi dresses during Chanel’s nature-inspired presentation.

Leni Klum’s family life

The German supermodel was married to the “Kiss from a Rose” hitmaker from 2005 to 2014 and the pair share four children – Leni, Henry,  Johan, and Lou. Heidi was dating Leni’s biological father, businessman Flavio Briatore, in 2003 and announced her pregnancy in December that year. However, the couple split before Leni was born and in this time Heidi met Seal who was present at the birth in May 2004. Seal legally adopted Leni in 2009, whose name was changed to “Leni Olumi Klum.”

Leni Klum’s modelling career

Leni was first approached by a modelling scout at the age of 12; however, her mom would not allow her to sign. It wasn’t until Leni was 16 that Heidi allowed her to make her debut alongside her for Vogue Germany.

“It’s not just jumping in front of the camera and looking pretty,” she told Vogue Germany back in March. “There are a lot of things that happen behind the scenes that you don’t even see in the end product. Modelling requires a lot of discipline.”

Heidi largely inspired her daughter’s decision to venture into the same industry as her. “I always love being in front of the camera,” Leni told Paper Magazine. “And I think watching my mom, as I grew up, watching her work, how happy she was, and how fun her job was… I was always really inspired by that. And when I’d go to set with her, I’d always try to get in the frame. I’d always steal her makeup artist. I’d tell him to do my hair, and I’d get in front of the camera, and I’d kind of crash the day. I just fell in love with it, and I’m still in love with it now.”
