Former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia Reveals Breast Reduction Scars Nearly 2 Years Later

Former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia is getting candid about her breast reduction journey nearly two years after undergoing the secondary procedure.

“Let’s talk about my girls a little,” Recchia began a Saturday, June 6, TikTok. “I’m in Africa currently. I missed so many comments on my last video so I’ll try to answer as many as I can before I have to go. Also, I started out — I was like, three over a triple D. But they were like no volume on top, low.”

Recchia explained that she paid for the procedure out of pocket because she had to “jump through so many hoops” with her insurance company.

“They want you to get on prescription strength tylenol and they want you have to physical therapy and I was like, ‘I really just don’t have time.’ So cost wise, it depends. I got it done in Beverly Hills, so obviously it’s going to be a little bit more on the expensive side,” she said. “But it was so worth it.”

Recchia shared that she has an “anchor scar” and also underwent “bilateral lipo,” explaining that it “takes out everything, kind of like armpit and side.”

“For the most part, I think I was down for like 2 weeks. And then, I felt great. The one thing I will definitely recommend is as soon as I got my bandages off, I put silicone scar tape over the cuts,” she said, explaining that she “knew the second they started to heal” and “drop a little” that they were “a little larger” than she wanted.

She continued, “I went in for a check up and I told him, I was like, ‘I would still love more off, what do you think?’ He told me that he thought I could still get another one if I wanted more off. Second time around was so much easier. I think my recovery was maybe a week. First two days I felt groggy and then I was just taped up and I was ready to go.”

Recchia went on to answer a question about her scar, pulling down her white tank top to show a faded line underneath her armpit. “My scars are literally white,” she said. “Can barely see anything.”

Recchia explained that her new size “[fits] her body,” noting that it’s “really cute” and she is now a size B cup.

“It will be two years since my second reduction. This August will be two years. I am able to workout, I don’t have back pain,” she said. “Everyone always told me to wait as long as I could to get it done. They’re like, ‘When you have kids, you’re going to have to get it redone.’ At this point, I’m like, I’m not married. I’m nowhere near in the position to have kids. So I just wanted to get it done ASAP.”

She continued, “And if I have a kid and they grow back, like they did a little bit the second time, I’ll do it again. I’ll literally do it five more times to always have this for the rest of my life.”
