David and Victoria Beckham are quietly celebrating a privacy win after having planning permission granted for new measures at their impressive farmhouse in the Cotswolds. The couple has been given the go-ahead for a forest to be planted to shield their property from prying eyes.
The plans detail that there will be 79 trees and a wildflower meadow created at their property, as reported by the Daily Mail. At first, the proposal to the West Oxfordshire District Council was met with neighbourhood backlash, but ultimately, the Beckhams won the fight.
This follows changes to their private driveway, which had already been granted. Both measures are to ensure heightened privacy and security after a few burglary scares.
Beckham break-in scare
The A-list family have had attempted break-ins at both their London and Cotswolds properties, meaning they have stepped up protocol around each estate to ensure their family and homes are protected.
Celebrity homes are often targeted by thieves, firstly due to the high-value belongings being inside the property, but also because of details about the residences and whereabouts being posted online freely, giving criminals a helping hand.
What is their Cotswolds home like?
The former Spice Girl and the retired football legend bought their countryside bolthole in 2016 and have spent millions renovating it since. It’s a stone’s throw away from the iconic celeb hangout of Soho Farmhouse, but with its own incredible amenities, it’s a wellness retreat of its own.
The sprawling £12 million estate in Great Tew has a football pitch, a swimming pool, as well as a sauna, a plunge pool, a gym and a £50,000 barbecue tent in the grounds for entertaining. Plus, there’s a man-made lake giving the family picture-perfect surroundings.
The family are known to retreat here on weekends and holidays, to escape the bustle of London life, where they have another property in the affluent area of Holland Park.
Brooklyn feud
The Beckhams are going through a tough period after falling out with their eldest son, Brooklyn. While a suspected feud had been simmering for years, in January 2026, hot sauce founder Brooklyn shared an explosive Instagram post where he called out his famous parents.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,” he claimed in the post.
Brooklyn claimed that his parents had not been supportive of his relationship with his now-wife Nicola, and the pair have continued to forge their own life stateside away from the Beckhams.
