Girls just want to have fun.
Cyndi Lauper cursed out a heckler who shouted at her during her Las Vegas residency opening show on Friday night.
âI donât know what the fâk heâs saying,â Lauper, 72, said in footage taken by a fan at the show. âPlease remember where you are, OK?â
Lauper continued: âIf youâre trying to shade me bitch, Iâm going to come for you. Iâm from Brooklyn, and if I want to fâking talk, I will do a tap dance if I fâking want.â
The crass remarks earned the âTime After Timeâ hitmaker cheers and applause from the audience. She then returned back to her performance.
A rep for Lauper did not immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
Lauper previously promoted her upcoming Vegas residency, which will run April 24, 25, and 29 and May 1 through May 2 at the Colosseum, in a video shared to her Facebook earlier this week.
âHey, weâre in Vegas! I canât believe it,â the music icon said in the clip.
â[There] will be a couple of surprises in the show, but you have to come and see it. Not gonna tell you. Iâm excited! Anyway, come on down [because] itâll be a night of Cyn! Iâll see you at the show.â
She first announced the residency in October.
The Vegas shows are the first string of announced performances for the singer since finishing her âGirls Just Wanna Have Funâ tour, which she previously called her âfarewell.â
âItâs an arena tour, which I havenât done in a long time,â the songstress said in June 2024, announcing the tour.
âI just want to thank everybody, say goodbye, celebrate with fans that have been so loyal and sweet and were there for every crazy-ass concert or thing that I did and Iâm excited about doing it. I donât think physically in another five years I will be as good, but now I can do it, you know?â
âIâm going to include a piece of everything ⊠and combine art and moving visuals, use a lot of color and design. I havenât had a fun tour since â84, so now it will be the â24 fun tour!â
