Christie Brinkleyâs youngest daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, was a vision in a tiny black crop top and matching mini shorts as she posed with her friends, proving that she had inherited her momâs supermodel look.
The 28-year-old showcased her washboard abs in the look, and pulled her blonde hair back into a stylish updo with face-framing pieces. âGirlhood,â she captioned the social media post, as family, friends and fans rushed to the comment section to exclaim over her enviable figure.
âWerk it gurls! Gorgeouso!!!!â wrote Christie, while a fan added: âGet it girrrllll,â and a second said: âInsane.â A third follower declared Sailor âthe hottestâ as another chimed in: âSo pretty.â Sailor has worked hard to become confident in her own skin, after growing up in the shadow of her famous mom.
âI wanted to be a part of this [modeling] world, but there was just something innate in me that felt like my body, my face â and my everything! â just wasnât good enough, and I didnât deserve to have these opportunities because Iâm not Gisele BĂŒndchen or Christie Brinkley,â she told the New York Post in May.
âI have been in the public eye since I was a newborn,â she continued. âAnd I have heard comments like, âOh, sheâs so ugly.â âSheâll never be Christie Brinkley.â âHer body is gross.â âSheâs just a plain Jane.â I will always have that little demon inside of me saying, âYouâre not enough.'â
âItâs a matter of killing the demon â every single day,â Sailor explained. âBecause nothing good comes out of hating yourself.â The blonde beauty took matters into her own hands and hit back at haters online after one commented on her legs in May.Â
âIâve always had very strong legs, and because of this screwed up world and all the beauty standards pushed at us from such a young age, I thought that my strong legs were something to be ashamed of,â she said in an Instagram video.Â
âFor so much of my life, I didnât wear the skirt, didnât wear the shorts, didnât wear the minidress. I thought everyone was staring at my âthickâ thighs. My âhugeâ calves,â she recalled.Â
âIâve done a lot of work surrounding my body image and self-esteem over the years. As you get older, you donât want to waste any more time hating your body. It just gets so [expletive] boring.â
Sailor declared it her âdutyâ to showcase her incredible legs so that people could feel better about their own body image. âRemember guys: Itâs a waste of time to hate your body, itâs disrespectful to not appreciate it and wear the [expletive] shorts and the minidress,â she concluded.Â
Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband, Peter Cook, and is also a mom to Jack, 31, born to the model and her ex-husband, Richard Taubman. Her eldest child, Alexa Ray Joel, was born in 1985 during her marriage to musician Billy Joel.Â
