Christie Brinkley’s daughter Sailor showcases her washboard abs in tiny crop top

Christie Brinkley’s youngest daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, was a vision in a tiny black crop top and matching mini shorts as she posed with her friends, proving that she had inherited her mom’s supermodel look.

The 28-year-old showcased her washboard abs in the look, and pulled her blonde hair back into a stylish updo with face-framing pieces. “Girlhood,” she captioned the social media post, as family, friends and fans rushed to the comment section to exclaim over her enviable figure.

“Werk it gurls! Gorgeouso!!!!” wrote Christie, while a fan added: “Get it girrrllll,” and a second said: “Insane.” A third follower declared Sailor “the hottest” as another chimed in: “So pretty.” Sailor has worked hard to become confident in her own skin, after growing up in the shadow of her famous mom.

“I wanted to be a part of this [modeling] world, but there was just something innate in me that felt like my body, my face – and my everything! – just wasn’t good enough, and I didn’t deserve to have these opportunities because I’m not Gisele Bündchen or Christie Brinkley,” she told the New York Post in May.

“I have been in the public eye since I was a newborn,” she continued. “And I have heard comments like, ‘Oh, she’s so ugly.’ ‘She’ll never be Christie Brinkley.’ ‘Her body is gross.’ ‘She’s just a plain Jane.’ I will always have that little demon inside of me saying, ‘You’re not enough.'”

“It’s a matter of killing the demon – every single day,” Sailor explained. “Because nothing good comes out of hating yourself.” The blonde beauty took matters into her own hands and hit back at haters online after one commented on her legs in May.

“I’ve always had very strong legs, and because of this screwed up world and all the beauty standards pushed at us from such a young age, I thought that my strong legs were something to be ashamed of,” she said in an Instagram video. 

“For so much of my life, I didn’t wear the skirt, didn’t wear the shorts, didn’t wear the minidress. I thought everyone was staring at my ‘thick’ thighs. My ‘huge’ calves,” she recalled.

“I’ve done a lot of work surrounding my body image and self-esteem over the years. As you get older, you don’t want to waste any more time hating your body. It just gets so [expletive] boring.”

Sailor declared it her “duty” to showcase her incredible legs so that people could feel better about their own body image. “Remember guys: It’s a waste of time to hate your body, it’s disrespectful to not appreciate it and wear the [expletive] shorts and the minidress,” she concluded. 

Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband, Peter Cook, and is also a mom to Jack, 31, born to the model and her ex-husband, Richard Taubman. Her eldest child, Alexa Ray Joel, was born in 1985 during her marriage to musician Billy Joel.
