Charles Barkley made an obscene comment about Cardi Bâs body as she performed at halftime during Game 3 of the NBA Finals 2026.
As the Grammy winner performed her hits âBodega Baddieâ and âBodak Yellowâ alongside the Knicks City Dancers in Madison Square Garden Monday night, âInside the NBAâ co-host Ernie Johnson commented, âKnicks up seven, looking for a 3-0 lead. Weâve been competing with Cardi B here.â
âWe lost,â co-host Barkley, 63, quipped as Cardi â who showed off her curvy figure in a plunging croc-embossed bustier and leggings â was shown onscreen.
âI donât know if those Bâs. They might be Cardi Dâs,â the former Philadelphia 76ers player said, referring to the âI Like Itâ rapperâs breasts.
âIâm pretty sure those arenât Bâs,â Barkley added as his co-hosts, Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille OâNeal, erupted into laughter.
âI donât know who said that, but I know it wasnât me,â Johnson, 69, declared.
Barkley kept the commentary about Cardiâs body going, adding, âSheâs got the wrong initials.â
Fans online were divided about Barkleyâs shocking comments.
âThe man is a grown adult on national television reducing a performer to her body like itâs 1995. Itâs not funny, itâs not clever, itâs just sad,â argued one user on X.
âUnc has lost all composure,â added another.
âChuck just casually upgraded her to Cardi Dâs mid broadcast. Man said the quiet part loud as hell. Legend,â tweeted a third netizen.
âOnly Chuck can say something that wild and still be loved for it,â commented a fourth person.
Page Six has reached out to reps for Cardi and âInside the NBAâ for comment.
Cardi, born Belcalis AlmĂĄnzar, attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks with her eldest son, Wave.
