Christina Hendricks is aging backward! The Mad Men actress looked stunning in a new picture, taken with the picturesque Scottish countryside in the background, to mark her 51st birthday on May 3.

In the image, Christina wore a blue corset dress, and her auburn hair was styled in an elegant updo.

At first glance, the photo could easily have passed as a painting, although it was actually taken while filming series three of the hit Apple TV+ show, The Buccaneers, where Christina plays Mrs. St. George.

In the caption, the star wrote: “What better place to be on your birthday?” Fans were quick to send her birthday wishes, while others remarked on just how stunning the picture was. “Couldn’t be a better place. Hope you’re having the best day,” one wrote, while another remarked: “You look like a princess!” A third added: “Turn back the clock and you would fit right in!”

Series three of The Buccaneers was announced in October 2025 following the success of series two, although no official release date has been announced.

The drama series takes place in 1870’s London, and also stars Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe and Matthew Broome. Christina’s character dealt with issues including infidelity and lies from her husband, and requested a divorce in series two.

Discussing the important storyline, the star told Forbes: “To me, the divorce storyline was incredibly important to show the strength of the character at that time, it was a very radical decision she was making, but also a modern take on the experience.

“I think it was important to blend the horror of going through this publicly in the 1870s, but also to show that it’s still so difficult in the way that women get treated, questioned and without a fight, their outcome can’t be different. And after several hundred years, we’re still fighting, but we changed the outcome and I think it’s important for the audience.”

Along with acting, Christina also has a clothing line and recently revealed that she DJs too.

In March, she shared a photo of herself behind the decks at music venue, Part Time Lover HiFi, in San Diego.

Alongside the caption, she wrote: “@parttimelover.hifi has invited me back to DJ and this time I’m doing it on my own!!! If you are in San Diego April 1st, come hear some Shoe Pop Dream Gaze tunes and enjoy their beautiful listening bar. It’s a really special place.”

The star lives in a beautiful period home in Los Angeles with her husband, George Bianchini. They also have a house in New York.
