Prince George’s little brother, Prince Louis, made a heartwarming appearance in a rare vacation video shared for George’s milestone 13th birthday on Wednesday. The Prince and Princess of Wales’ sons spent a wholesome day together at the beach, playing cricket on the sand and exploring the idyllic oceanside surroundings in new footage filmed during the family’s Easter holiday in Cornwall.

In the video, Louis, eight, tried to keep up with his big brother while rock climbing barefoot. The youngest Wales child followed his brother’s lead as they scaled the mountainous landscape and George jumped between boulders.

George looked right in his element as he sat on a rock face and pointed out the incredible scenery. In an earlier clip, Louis was spotted briefly again in the background, holding a cricket bat as the brothers appeared to enjoy a game on the beach beneath the sun.

While their sister, Princess Charlotte, and their parents, Prince William and Princess Kate, were missing from the video, the family’s beloved dog, Otto, had a small cameo. George sweetly stroked the one-year-old brown cocker spaniel who sunbathed on the sand.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared the video tribute to their official social media account to celebrate their eldest son officially entering his teen years. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today,” it was captioned. The young royal was also seen wearing his Wimbledon sunglasses and going on a boat ride.

The 13-year-old looked all grown up in an official portrait released by Kensington Palace for his birthday, which was taken by the family’s trusted photographer, Matt Porteous. In the newly released picture, George stood tall on the stairs at Kensington Palace just after Trooping the Colour last month.

The young royal wore a navy suit and white shirt for the portrait, but did without the tie he wore during the Trooping celebrations.

“Happy 13th Birthday, George!” the accompanying caption read.

George and Louis have shared many sweet moments in public over the years. The brothers adorably wore matching navy suits and red ties for Trooping the Colour last year as they smiled side-by-side in the carriage together. The royal siblings stood together on the Buckingham Palace balcony again this year as they joined their sister, parents and other senior members of the royal family for the annual Trooping appearance.

The brothers were spotted sharing a smile at the Christmas walk around at St Mary’s church in Sandringham last year, and at the 2022 gathering, George was seen on big brother duty as he sweetly joined his mother in ushering Louis into the church.
