Ant Anstead gives Renee Zellweger wedding update with telling reply

Ant Anstead just shared a telling update about his future with Renee Zellweger. The couple of five years is seemingly moving towards something more serious.

The English TV host, 47, opened up to Daily Mail about his relationship with the 57-year-old Chicago actress.

“I still believe in marriage, but right now we’re really happy,” Ant explained. “We don’t need the pressure of a label.”

Both Ant and Renee have been married before. The For the Love of Cars co-host was married to his first wife, Louise Anstead for 12 years, divorcing in 2017, and was with HGTV star Christina Haack, with whom he shares son Hudson, until 2021.

While Ant hasn’t shared much about his wedding with Louise, there was a bit of pomp and circumstance about his ceremony with Christina. The two tied the knot in Newport Beach at a surprise service in their backyard. 

And Renee was briefly married to country singer Kenny Chesney after a whirlwind romance in 2005. The two tied the knot in a surprise sunset ceremony on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

But, while a wedding isn’t on the horizon for Ant and Renee, the TV personality lovingly calls Renee “the missus.”

When did Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger get together?

Ant has been dating the two-time Oscar winner since 2021. The couple met on the set of his Discovery+ show Celebrity IOU: Joyride. 

“I’m really grateful to the show because these amazing things happen in your world and sometimes when things collide, they collide at the most obscure times when you least expect them,” Ant told People about meeting Renee. “And that’s what happened in this case.”

The two are very much in love.

“One of the many, many things that attracts me to Ren is that she’s a hands-on car girl,” the presenter revealed to HELLO! in September 2025. “It’s really cool that we met at a car show. She welded – I mean, how cool is that?”

Renee and Ant’s family life

Ant is the father of three children – Amelie, 22, and Archie, 19, who he shares with his first wife Louise, and Hudson, six, who he shares with Christina. Renee is a present figure in the kids’ lives. Amelia and Archie even attended the London premiere of her film Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, ahead of its February 2025 debut.

Regardless of his relationship status, Ant is happy to be a dad.

“Like any parent, I’m incredibly proud of all three of my kids, and I get to do it all again with Hudsy,” he told HELLO!. “I can remember when Amelie was five and it’s hard to believe. Fast-forward 17 years and she’s now almost 22, a professional rugby player, living on her own, with a degree.”
