Anna is in a relationship with camera operator Richard Cornelius. The pair met while working together on a TV production after the coronavirus pandemic. Itâs been reported that they first crossed paths on the set of the Sky comedy, Code 404.
Opening up about how she met Richard on The Assembly, Anna said: âHe is a cameraman. His name is Richard. Weâd just come out of Covid and I was on a production.
âI thought, âHe looks nice,â so I made it clear to him that I thought he looked nice and then we went on a date,â explained the actress.
While Anna tends to keep her love life out of the spotlight, she did open up about her partner in an interview with The Telegraph in September 2024. âHeâs a very practical person â a very solid, steady guy,â she said. âA super person. Just what I need.â

The pair met in 2004 while working on an adaptation of the Ian McEwan novel, Enduring Love. They wed in 2010 and welcomed two daughters together, Maggie and Nancy, before separating in 2020.Â
In September 2021, Roger died suddenly at the age of 65.
Opening up about their relationship, Anna previously told The Telegraph: âI didnât fall out of love with Roger. But sometimes a marriage canât continue for certain reasons and for me it couldnât continue. I still love Roger very much and I miss him desperately.â
During her appearance on The Assembly, Anna, whose father died when she was 24, was asked whether her own experience of losing a parent helped navigate her childrenâs grief.
âI think itâs a yes and a no,â she began. âI lost my dad when I was 24 and it was very, very hard and I felt very, very alone. So, that was that and then it happened to my children, and then I think in a way I could understand better, of course, because I understand about loss.Â
âI really tried to be the best mum that I could for them,â explained the Ludwig star. âI think sometimes I failed in that and you know, I pick myself up and apologise and trundle on. I think itâs so individual, itâs so hard.â
