Zendaya stole the show in a dramatic sheer gown as she joined her partner and co-star Tom Holland at the Shanghai premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The 29-year-old actress commanded attention at the star-studded event on Friday, July 24, 2026, where she celebrated the eagerly anticipated fourth instalment in Tom’s Spider-Man film series.
Leaning into the movie’s superhero theme, Zendaya wore an archival Atelier Versace Spring/Summer 2016 Couture gown featuring a web-like black mesh design layered beneath sweeping panels of ivory fabric.
The semi-sheer creation hugged her statuesque figure before falling into a floor-sweeping skirt and delicate train. A dramatically high split extended almost to her hip, allowing Zendaya to showcase her toned legs as she posed for photographers.
Ruched ivory fabric swept diagonally across the gown’s intricately beaded bodice and gathered at her waist with a glittering embellishment, while an asymmetric black strap added another unexpected detail.
Zendaya accessorised the statement dress with pointed white Christian Louboutin pumps, a diamond watch and delicate jewellery, including a spider-shaped Chopard brooch.
The Euphoria star appeared to channel Cleopatra with her sleek, waist-length brunette hair and strikingly short fringe. Dramatic winged eyeliner, smoky shadow and softly sculpted cheeks heightened the Egyptian queen-inspired effect, while a glossy nude lip completed her glamorous beauty look.
Tom looked suitably dapper beside her in a dark brown double-breasted suit, worn with a crisp white shirt and red-and-black tartan tie. Tom finished his polished ensemble with black shoes and wore his dark hair in natural curls.
The pair appeared relaxed as they posed with their arms around one another before taking to the stage, where Zendaya playfully operated an oversized Spider-Man-themed clapperboard.
The film, which also stars Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo and Michael Mando, opens on July 31 2026.
Zendaya and Tom first met after she auditioned to play MJ opposite his Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming. They went on to appear together in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, with their friendship eventually blossoming into an off-screen romance.
