Scrubs is back by popular demand, with its Season Two reboot airing on ABC on Wednesdays this fall and available to stream the next day on Hulu. The 10-episode series sees original cast members, such as Neil Flynn, Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, return to the screen. Meanwhile, Ava Bunn, who stars as Sam Tosh, has been given a larger role in the new season.
The show’s official Season Two logline reads: “J.D., Turk and Elliot have leveled up from interns to icons at Sacred Heart. Now, the respected doctors inspire the next generation while balancing the ups and downs of working in a hospital. Together with characters new and old, they are navigating this next chapter with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”
The original series’ creator Lawrence serves as executive producer on the revival alongside Mike Royce, Mathew Harawitz, Michael Spiller, and Randall Keenan Winston.
Bill Lawrence’s sitcom originally premiered in 2001 and ran for nine seasons. Scrubs returned in February 2026 for a milestone tenth season with nine episodes.

While starring in Scrubs, Zach also wrote, directed and starred in the 2004 film Garden State. Since then, he has built a career both in front of and behind the camera, with credits including Chicken Little (2005), Wish I Was Here (2014), Ted Lasso (2020), the Disney+ remake of Cheaper by the Dozen (2022), and Shrinking (2023).

Sarah has starred in the likes of Cougar Town, How I Met Your Mother, Backstrom and Speechless. She also appeared in Firefly Lane and expanded into movies with roles in Cake (2005), Mother’s Day (2016) and The Wrong Missy (2020).
Away from the spotlight, the actress shares two children with her former partner, Jamie Afifi. She is currently in a relationship with architect Michael Leckie.

Following the series, Donald starred in Next Day Air (2009), Kick-Ass 2 (2013) and Embattled (2020). His television roles included the sitcom The Exes and the ABC drama Emergence.
In 2012, he tied the knot to CaCee Cobb and the couple share two children, daughter Wilder Frances and son Rocco. Donald is also a father to four other children from his past relationships. He shares two sons, Kobe and Dade, and one daughter, Kaya with his late ex-wife Lisa Askey, and one son named Sean with ex-girlfriend Audrey Ince.

Judy was the only original cast member to not appear in the Season Nine reboot of the show. Her other recurring roles were in Claws and Devious Maids, One Day at a Time, Search Party, Batwoman, Succession and Better Things. She has also starred in Dr. Death and High Potential.
Away from acting, she shared one child named Rey with her partner, George Valencia.

Following the sitcom, John appeared in Burn Notice, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chicago P.D., Ground Floor and Stan Against Evil. He also returned to Broadway in the 2013 revival of Glengarry Glen Ross.
John married Nichole Kessler in 2007 and the couple welcomed two daughters, Kate Aleena and Billie Grace. He is also a father to son, Max, who he shares with his ex-wife, Lauren Lambert.

Following the end of the show, Ken starred in Cougar Town, Gravity Falls, A Series of Unfortunate Events and All the Way. He has been married to Katharine Houghton since 1970. He was previously married to Joan Patchen, with the former couple sharing three children, Matthew, Joshua and Daniel.
