Taylor Swift and Travis Kelceâs blockbuster wedding in Madison Square Garden on July 3 was one to remember, with everyone from Sir Paul McCartney to Selena Gomez in attendance on the special night.
As more details emerge about the star-studded wedding event, ESPN sportscaster Joe Buck shared insight into the special moment that Taylor walked down the aisle towards her husband-to-be, prompting a wave of tears from the NFL star.
An emotional night
Joe revealed on the Starkville podcast that Taylor and Travisâ wedding was âpretty surrealâ and a âpinch yourself kind of nightâ as he mingled with some of the biggest A-listers in the world. He added that the ceremony was filled with emotion, especially when the singer walked down the aisle to her own track, âLove Storyâ.
âTravis was a puddle, watching his nieces come down the little ramp that they built. And then when she walked out, he was a puddle,â Joe recalled.Â
âTheir vows were long. They were really well-written, they were funny, they were sweet, they were emotional.â He added that âit really felt like they were getting married,â rather than it being âjust a ceremonial thing.â
Joe shared that Taylor and Travisâ no-phone policy allowed the guests to relax and enjoy the night.

A sweet family moment
Travisâ four nieces, Wyatt, six, Elliotte, five, Bennett, three, and Finnley, 15 months, served as the flower girls at the wedding, which made their father, Jason Kelce, incredibly emotional.
âIt was a special event for our entire family, and obviously my daughters are incredible,â he told the Reno Gazette-Journal.Â
âTheyâre beautiful, theyâre incredible personalities. And Travis and Taylor love them. So, very happy we were able to be a part of it. And more importantly, very happy for those two. It was an amazing day.â
Friends again
Also in attendance at the wedding event of the year was Karlie Kloss, supermodel and former best friend of Taylor, who reportedly had a fallout with her in 2016. Karlie broke her silence on her surprise appearance at the wedding on the Today show, sharing that she was happy for her friend.
âListen, I try to protect the privacy of my friendsâ personal lives,â she said. âBut what I will say is that theyâre an amazing couple and Iâm so happy for them.â
The duo became fast friends after meeting at the Victoriaâs Secret Fashion Show in 2013, and they even appeared on the cover of Vogue together.
Feuding
Their friendship appeared to fracture in 2016 when Karlie publicly praised Kim Kardashian, whom Taylor was locked in a bitter feud with.
Karlie then clarified her words about Kim in a statement posted to Twitter. âI will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back, and I will always have hers. [A]nd I will never be the girl that you can use to pit women against each other. That isnât me,â she declared.
Despite this, Karlieâs name was left off a T-shirt Taylor wore in her âLook What You Made Me Doâ music video in 2017 that listed many of her other close friends.Â
The model was then pictured backstage at Taylorâs Reputation Tour concert in 2018, yet the pop star skipped Karlieâs wedding to Joshua Kushner in the same year.
