Actress Tori Spelling was reportedly rushed to the hospital after a car she was driving, with seven children on board, was involved in a serious crash earlier this week.
The accident was first confirmed to TMZ on Saturday by law enforcement, who revealed that deputies were dispatched to a crash in Temecula, California, at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. They found two cars with collision damage.
The Riverside County Sheriffâs Office has since told People Magazine that Spelling, 52, was driving four of her children and three of their friends when they were hit by a driver, who was allegedly speeding and ran through a red light.
TMZ reported that a quick-thinking Spelling managed to avoid serious injury to herself and the occupants by maneuvering the vehicle largely out of the way just before impact.
The former âBeverly Hills, 90210âłÂ star and her passengers were all evacuated at the site of the crash, and no arrests were made, said the sheriffâs office.
The actress and all seven children were then transported to the hospital in three separate ambulances, where TMZ reports they were treated for injuries including cuts, contusions and concussions.
It is not clear which four of Spellingâs five children were in the car with her at the time.
The actress shares her children â Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9 â with her ex-husband, fellow actor Dean McDermott.
The couple split in 2023 after 17 years of marriage before finalizing their divorce last year.
Spelling was also previously involved in a car accident back in 2011, while pregnant with her third child.
The star hit a wall while driving her two eldest children to school at the time, while allegedly being chased by a photographer.
âPaparazzi chased me w/the kids 2school,â she tweeted at the time. âI was trying to get away from him and had a pretty big accident. Took down whole wall of school.â
However, according to Spelling, the accident didnât stop the paparazzo from trying to get pictures of her and her children, Stella and Liam, who were respectively 3 and 4 at the time.
âHe thn STILL got out to try to get pics,â she added. â10 school moms chased him away. Wht will it take? Someone dying for paparazzi to stop?â
Thankfully, no one was injured in that crash, but Spelling said she was heading straight to her doctor as a precaution.
âGoing to dr now to check on baby. I think its just shock,â she wrote.
