Tiger Woods has been out of the spotlight for the past few weeks, following his involvement in a rollover crash and arrest in Florida in late March.

The pro golfer, 50, was slated to attend the Augusta Masters later in April, but backed out of the event due to the resulting DUI charge and a decision to take time to prioritize his recovery.

His family has remained quiet since then, with the only updates coming courtesy of his girlfriend Vanessa Trump. However, his son Charlie Woods, now also a pro golfer, made his first social media post since his dad’s arrest.

The 16-year-old Charlie’s last social post came in mid-March, and he followed that up with one on Monday, April 20, sharing some highlights from his week at the Terra Cotta Invitational in Naples, Florida.

The amateur golfer finished in a tie for 42nd place at the tournament, which ended on Sunday, April 18, from a pool of 72 golfers. Charlie is currently a junior at the prestigious Benjamin School (which his older sister Sam and Vanessa’s daughter Kai Trump are also from), and has committed to playing with Florida State Men’s Golf for his collegiate career.

“Thanks to the @terracottainvitational for a great week and the opportunity to compete,” he captioned his post. “Grateful for the experience and excited to keep building!”

His fans and friends left comments on the post ranging from: “Let’s go I was at the Terra cotta and was watching you on the range,” to: “The experience is what builds the champion. Keep building.”

On March 31, Tiger took to X to speak out for the first time since the arrest, sharing: “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.”

“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery,” he continued. “I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

The PGA Tour then followed up with a statement that read: “Tiger Woods is a legend of our sport whose impact extends far beyond his achievements on the course. But above all else, Tiger is a person, and our focus is on his health and well‑being. Tiger continues to have our full support as he takes this important step.”

CEO Brian Rolapp shared in his own personal statement: “Tiger Woods is one of the most influential figures the sports world has ever known. Over the last year, I have come to deeply appreciate Tiger not only for his impact on the game, but for his friendship and the perspective he has shared with me as I joined the golf industry. My thoughts are with him and his family as he takes this step, for which he has my full respect and support.”
