If you’re hoping to manifest more money (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), there are some simple, witchy tips that could help you on your journey to wealth.
HELLO! caught up with Lilly Statham – a witchcraft influencer who regularly shares spells and candle magic for her 2.5 million followers on social media – who gave us four top tips for attracting abundance into our lives. And the best thing is, they only take a few seconds. From adding cinnamon to your morning coffee to drawing symbols in the steam when you’re in the shower, here, she shares her manifesting hacks…
Add cinnamon to your morning coffee
“Everyone likes cinnamon in their coffee. Well, most people do!” says Lilly, whose new book Manifest Like a Witch is out now, published by Hay House.
“So once you’ve made your morning coffee, you literally just sprinkle a tiny bit of cinnamon into the mug. And as you’re drinking it, focus on the intention – thinking, ‘As I drink this more money is going to come to my way’ – and sip mindfully instead of just swigging your coffee back as quickly as possible. Cinnamon brings in prosperity and coffee helps speed up manifestations – so it’s like a mini money spell whilst getting a caffeine hit.”
She adds: “If you do it with thought and intention behind it, then money will turn up. It’s just a matter of believing it and trusting in yourself – although, if you’re downing cinnamon and coffee, but you’re like, ‘Well, now, I don’t need to go to work anymore’, then you’re probably not going to manifest what you want. You have to put in the effort towards getting what you want yourself – the universe wants to see how badly you want it, and then it will pave the path to getting it!”
Draw runes in your shower steam
“Runes – the letters of ancient Germanic alphabets, often used for divination – are really simple to learn, and they have loud, ancient energy. There’s a chart in the back of my book so you can get to know them. For wealth, you’d choose Fehu – and then, when you’re in the shower, just draw it into the steam on the glass.
“Or you could draw it on a piece of paper, stick it in your back pocket or in the back of your phone case, and then just go about your day. You can also combine runes and put two together. So if you wanted to protect your finances whilst manifesting more money, you can put Algiz together with Fehu.”
Use a tea light for a money spell
“If you have tea lights at home you can do any sorts of spells. Let’s say you want to manifest £100 – a quick cash sort of thing – then just write down the amount on a note, put it underneath your tea light, then sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top – if you don’t have cinnamon, you can use basil – and light it.
“I tend to do this on a window sill with the window a little bit open, so it’s like the energy is going out to the universe. You can turn this into a ritualistic thing – you don’t have to just do it once. It’s keeping up this repetition, as well as the thoughts and intentions behind it, which will make it come quicker. And just use what you’ve got – if you’ve got an old Yankee Candle that’s half burnt, you can use that! Just focus on what you’re wanting to manifest.”
Write your intention on a bay leaf
“Bay leaves are good for manifestation, especially if you burn them,” says Lilly, founder of online witchcraft boutique Mystic Primrose where she sells her popular, custom-made spell jars.
“So get a dried bay leaf and on it, write down what you want to manifest. Let’s say it’s just a specific amount of money – I’ve done this, and it works! You can either keep it – maybe in the back of your phone case, or in your purse, and just forget about it – or burn it, and blow the ashes to the universe.”
