The Pittâs Isa Briones, 27, has reprimanded a fanâs inappropriate behaviour at her recent Broadway performance. The actress, who plays Dr. Trinity Santos on the Emmy-winning HBO medical drama, issued a stern reminder about theatre etiquette after an audience member apparently shouted out her TV character name during a showing of Just in Time on Broadway.
âSome people need to brush up on theatre etiquette, and just person in the world etiquette in general,â the actress, who is currently starring as Connie Francis in the immersive Broadway jukebox musical, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Sunday.
She continued: âDo not talk to the performers while they are performing on stage (unless you have been asked to). And donât talk to me on stage and call me Dr. Santos. Iâm not Dr. Santos. Iâm not even Connie Francis. I am Isa Briones, one of the actors in the show you have paid to enjoy. So watch it respectfully.â
âYou are not a kid at Disneyland,â she added. âYou are an adult man at a Broadway show. Act like it.â
Isa joined the cast of Just in Time at the start of the month, starring alongside Gleeâs Matthew Morrison. The show follows the life story of American singer Bobby Darin.
Isaâs theatre roots
While sheâs made a name for herself on the small screen on The Pitt, Isa has starred in several major theatre productions and has a famous relative from Broadway. The actress has performed in Hamilton, and made her Broadway debut as the leading lady Eurydice in Hadestown in 2024.Â
Isa starred in the musical alongside her father Jon Jon Briones, who is best known for playing The Engineer in Miss Saigon.Â
âIt feels like home,â Isa told Today with Jenna and Sheinelle ahead of returning to Broadway for Just in Time. âIâm a theatre girl first and foremost, and iâm so happy to be back on stage.â
The Pittâs success
Since airing its pilot episode in January 2025, The Pitt has become a smashing success among viewers and critics. Isa stars on the show, which is currently airing its second season, alongside Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Shawn Hatosy and more stars.Â
The Pitt took home the coveted Outstanding Drama Series win at the Emmy Awards last year, and the cast was awarded the Best Ensemble in a Drama Series trophy at the 2025 Actor Awards.Â
The cast spoke exclusively to HELLO! ahead of the second season, which began airing weekly episodes in January. Addressing the fanfare around the show, actor Patrick Ball (Dr. Frank Langdon) said: âWe set out to make a show about healthcare workers for healthcare workers, and that community has really embraced us, and then also the Twitter community has kind of gone crazy! Itâs a lot of fun; Iâve had to stay off Twitter, but my girlfriend tells me what I need to know.â
Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Samira Mohan) added: âItâs been a really fun experience, to be honest, because I love how engaged they are, and how supportive they are and how much they love the show, and itâs just been really great to experience it all.â
