Abby Elliott is walking away from her husband of nearly 10 years, producer Bill Kennedy.
The 39-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Natalie on the FX hit series âThe Bear,â filed to end their marriage on Friday, according to divorce documents obtained by TMZ.
She listed the date of separation as July 8 and âirreconcilable differencesâ as the reason for the split.
Elliott also requested for joint legal and physical custody of their two children â Edith, 5, and William, 3 â whom the estranged couple welcomed during the marriage.
Elliott requested that Kennedy provide her spousal support, and asked the court that he not be awarded any.
She has also requested that the producer pay her legal fees.
A rep for Elliott did not immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
Elliott and Kennedy first met on set of the 2014 movie âSex Ed,â which he had written. She starred in the film alongside Glen Powell, Haley Joel Osment and Lorenza Izzo.
Shortly after meeting, they struck up a romance, and in October 2015, he proposed.
âWeâve been dating for a year-and-a-half, I think. It was a surprise,â she told the Knot in a past interview.
She said Kennedy popped the question âin our apartment and it was beautiful. There were flowers everywhere.â
âIt was really beautiful and he was traditional and got down on one knee. It was just very simple, but lovely and wonderful.â
The following year â in September 2016 â Elliott and Kennedy tied the knot during a church ceremony in New England.
Elliott and Kennedy welcomed their first child, Edith, in October 2020, and second child, William, in June 2023.
Elliott, who was a cast member on âSaturday Night Liveâ from 2008 through 2012, has starred in films like 2011âs âNo Strings Attached,â 2014âs âLife Partnersâ and 2022âs âCheaper By The Dozen.â Sheâs also appeared in TV shows such as â2 Broke Girls,â âHow I Met Your Motherâ and âKing Of The Hill.â
Kennedy, meanwhile, is known for being a producer and writer on TV shows like âHouse Of Cards,â âTell Me Liesâ and âThe Morning Show.âÂ
