Meghan Markle would allegedly talk over and interrupt her husband, Prince Harry, in meetings with Netflix partners.
The Duchess of Sussex would touch the Duke of Sussexâs arm or thigh before taking over the conversation, insiders told Variety in an interview published Tuesday.
According to sources, the seasoned actress believed Hollywood was her territory.
Michael J. Kump, an attorney for Markle, 44, told the outlet that the sourceâs remarks âseem[ed] calculated to play into the misogynistic characterization of her bossing her husband around.â
Additionally, Harry, 41, claimed the remarks were âcategorically false.â Â
A rep for the couple, who wed in 2018, wasnât immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Variety published a series of allegations against Markle and Harry after Page Six reported that Netflix had cut ties with the royals, even after extending their partnership last August.
The outlet also alleged the âSuitsâ alum would âdisappearâ when she would get offended during Zoom meetings with Netflix.
âThe mood in the building is âWeâre done,ââ an insider for the streaming service claimed, alleging that her behavior âruffled feathers in meetings.â
The âRemember Meâ starâs attorney, however, combated these allegations, stating that she âworks from home, is the mother of young children aged 4 and 6, and often encounters children who enter the space unexpectedly during a meeting.â
âIndependent of being a parent who works from home, Meghan is also conscious of shielding her team from the distraction of children,â Kump said.
âNearly all professionals can attest to needing to turn off the audio or camera during a virtual meeting at some point during many hours of virtual business calls.âÂ
Additionally, Netflix was reportedly âblindsidedâ when Markle and Harry opened up about leaving royal life during their âHarry & Meghanâ docuseries with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
At the time, the duo had just signed their $100 million deal with Netflix, giving the company the right to share details about their time with the royal family and their 2020 resignation.
While with Netflix, Markle and Harry released several series, including their 2023 documentary, âHarry & Meghan,â their âPoloâ documentary and âWith Love, Meghan.â
