George Lindsey – $2.5 million

George Lindsey starred in The Andy Griffith Show as Goober Pyle, the beloved mechanic at Mayberry’s “fillin’ station”, who took over from his cousin Gomer.

The actor also worked as a stand-up comedian, appeared in spin-off Mayberry R.F.D. and musical skit show Hee-Haw. This impressive portfolio earned him an estimated net worth of $2.5 million when he died in 2012.

Don Knotts – $3 million

Don Knotts won five Emmy Awards for his role as Deputy Barney Fife and returned to the franchise with Return to Mayberry. The actor also starred in sitcom Three’s Company and co-starred with a characterful car in Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo.

Betty Lynn played Thelma Lou, girlfriend to Don Knotts’s Barney Fife. But before this, she was a well-respected actress with feature roles in Sitting Pretty, June Bride, Cheaper by the Dozen and Meet Me in Las Vegas.

With a combination of ’40s and ’50s movie stardom added to ’60s sitcom success, it’s no surprise Betty Lynn’s estimated net worth sat happily at $3 million.

Aneta Corsaut – $3 million

Aneta Corsaut’s Helen Crump starred as a Mayberry schoolteacher and love interest to Sheriff Andy Taylor between 1963 and 1968. Before this she was cast as Irma Howell on The Gertrude Berg Show between 1961 and 1962.
