Teddi Mellencamp is setting the record straight on her cancer battle.
The âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ alum, 44, insisted that her cancer has not returned despite her dad, John Mellencamp, saying she was âreally sickâ and âsuffering.â
âItâs not fâing fun,â John said of his daughterâs journey in his Jan. 14 appearance on the âJoe Rogan Experienceâ podcast. âSheâs got cancer in the brain, and sheâs suffering right now.â
On Wednesdayâs episode of her and Tamra Judgeâs âTwo Ts in a Podâ podcast, however, Teddi said, âYou know, I think when he said the words âsuffering,â he meant like, how Iâm mentally doing versus how Iâm physically doing.â
âInstantly people thought, âOh my God, cancerâs back,ââ Judge, 58, said.
âNo, thereâs still no trace of cancer. But Iâm still considered stage four and Iâm still in immunotherapy, so essentially nothingâs changed other than I still â I donât feel great ⊠I would hope that I would be feeling better by now, but I really donât,â Teddi clarified.
The Bravoleb went on to explain that sheâs since started going to therapy to address the part of her âsufferingâ that stemmed from not having âproperlyâ processed âall of the things that happened when I had surgery, like from my divorce [from her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave] to all of a sudden being in emergency surgery, to you know, not being able to see my kids when I was recovering.â
âI think all of those things are starting to finally hit me now. I started doing therapy, and so itâs taken its toll on me,â she added.
As she continues her immunotherapy, Teddi shared that sheâs struggling with being able to âtouch and move.â
âI can see that Iâm slower than I was before, and thatâs really frustrating to me. Like I want to be back to the way I used to be,â she reflected.
âI was really fighting for my life ⊠now that the storm has calmed a little, now Iâm starting to develop fear where I didnât have fear before. Like I have fear to do a lot of things,â she shared, before admitting sheâs scared âthat cancer is going to come back.â
The reality TV star came forward with her stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022. She underwent more than a dozen surgeries to address the disease â including an emergency procedure in 2025 to remove several tumors in her brain.
Last October, Teddi shared that her cancer â which had also spread to her lungs â was gone.
Still, she said sheâs not considered to be âin remissionâ yet. But, she started undergoing immunotherapy, which Arroyave said is âreally hard on her mental health.â
âIâm not considered in remission or anything like that,â she said on her podcast at the time. âThe way the [doctors] said it works, itâs like one year, then two years, then at three years youâre allowed to be considered ⊠in remission.â
