Taylor Frankie Paul lost her shot at the Mirrorball, according to a new report.
The âSecret Lives of Mormon Wivesâ star was cast in Season 35 of âDancing With the Starsâ before her domestic violence scandal torched the opportunity, a source told The Sun on Tuesday.
âTaylor was set to join âDWTS,â that was part of her overall contract with Disney,â the insider claimed. âWhen she signed on to do âThe Bachelorette,â the âDWTSâ gig was lumped in there too.â
Paul, 31, was allegedly âmore than thrilledâ to compete on the ABC series.
âShe actually seemed more excited about being on âDWTSâ than even being the Bachelorette,â the outlet reported, noting that Paul âwas set to get a large lump sum this summer.â
The reality star âthen wouldâve been paid more as the weeks went on in the competition â but wonât be getting that now.â
As for who her pro partner would have been, there were allegedly âtalks she was going to be paired with Brandon Armstrong if all went according to planâ due to the 31-year-oldâs âgentleâ coaching style.
Reps for Paul and Disney did not immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
Paulâs season of âThe Bachelorette,â notably, was scrapped after Season 5 of âSLOMWâ was halted over an investigation into the MomTok star and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
As officials looked into multiple incidents of alleged abuse, footage of the 2023 fight that led to Paulâs arrest was leaked â and ABC pulled the plug on her season, days before it was set to air.
We heard last month, however, that Paulâs âBacheloretteâ journey may still see the light of day.
â[The network hasnât] canceled it â they simply paused it,â a source explained to Page Six in March.
News broke last week that no new DV charges are being brought against Paul, who currently has only supervised visitation with her 2-year-old son, Ever, as she battles Mortensen for custody.
She and the real estate agent, 33, each have filed for protective orders against each other.
We confirmed Tuesday that âSLOMWâ has resumed filming â and while People reported Paul and Mortensen will not be apart of Season 5, TMZ insisted the former will return with the âentireâ cast and crewâs support.
Paulâs axed âDWTSâ gig would have made her the third âSLOMWâ star to appear on the competition show.
Her co-stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck placed sixth and ninth, respectively, last year.
