Months before footage of Taylor Frankie Paul engaged in an altercation with Dakota Mortensen became public, she seemingly alluded to the incident on TikTok.
In an August 2025 video, the âSecret Lives of Mormon Wivesâ star mouthed lyrics to Rihannaâs 2007 hit âBreaking Dishes.â
âIs he cheating? Man, I donât know. Iâm lookinâ âround for somethinâ else to throw / Iâm breakinâ dishes up in here, all night / I ainât gonâ stop until I see police lights,â she lip-synced while smiling and sitting in a car.
Atop the clip, she wrote, âTip: donât throw things, you just might see police lights,â and in the caption, she joked, âDonât do it.â
Amid renewed interest, the comments thread filled with snarky commentary, including one reading, âThis aged poorly,â and another reading, âwell, this is ironic.â
A rep for Paul did not immediately return Page Sixâs request for comment.
The video resurfaced on Thursday, after ABC cancelled Paulâs season of âThe Bacheloretteâ following the release â hours earlier â of video from the 2023 altercation.
âIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of âThe Bacheloretteâ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,â the network told us.
Paul, meanwhile, released her own statement. âTaylor is very grateful for ABCâs support as she prioritizes her familyâs safety and security,â a spokesperson for Paul, who was set to star in the series beginning Sunday, told Page Six.
âAfter years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm,â the statement continued.
âThere are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives.â
The statement concluded, âTaylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.â
Mortensenâs rep subsequently denied Paulâs claims of abuse in a statement to Page Six and labelled them âbaseless.âÂ
In the 2023 footage obtained by TMZ Thursday, the MomTok star can be seen tossing metal barstools at Mortensen as her daughter Indy, 5 at the time, was nearby.
Mortensen claimed in the clip that Indy, who could be heard crying, âgot hit in the head.â Paul claimed to police that her ex threw her on the ground prior to the recording.
She was arrested at the time and charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief and child abuse. Under a plea deal, she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, reducing the charge to a misdemeanor, provided she satisfactorily obeyed the terms of a three-year probation.
The other charges were dismissed, she said during a September âCall Her Daddyâ appearance.
But another alleged incident between Paul and Mortensen in February emerged, with a rep for the Draper City Police Department saying that âallegations have been made in both directions.â
Mortensen filed for a restraining order in Utah on Tuesday, claiming she allegedly choked him during the February encounter and requesting custody of their son Ever, 2.
A Mortensen source said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly on Thursday that heâs focused on their son amid the drama.
âHe knew there was a possibility it could come out, but he was not going to be the one to proactively do that because he has always wanted a decent relationship with Taylor. Itâs been really hard to achieve that, but he wants to co-parent well,â the rep said.
âHe was just hoping that if he says nothing, as he usually does, it would go away,â the statement went on, adding that heâs ânever done any kind of sit-down interview about his side.â
âHe kind of just lets it all happen to him, and I think he realizes with the severity of everything now that he just canât do that.âÂ
