‘Speechless’ Cher discovers she has secret granddaughter from troubled son’s past romance

Cher reportedly learned she had a secret granddaughter more than a decade after her son Elijah Blue Allman allegedly welcomed the child.

Former model Kayti Edwards claimed she dated Allman in 2010 and gave birth to their daughter, Ever, that year during an interview with the US Sun published Sunday.

“Cher got in touch with me last June and asked if it was true, so I had to confess,” she alleged, explaining that the “Believe” songstress heard something about Ever from Allman in 2021 when he overdosed, but thought it was “crazy talk.”

“When she heard the news, she was speechless,” Edwards, who is the granddaughter of Julie Andrews, claimed. “Cher told her family, ‘Oh my God, I’m finally a grandma.’”

Edwards opened up about her alleged relationship with Allman, 49, explaining how she got pregnant after one night together.

“He always knew from day one, but he never wanted to be a parent,” she claimed. “He would pop in every couple of years but would just say hello.”

Edwards, who is now married, alleged that Allman texted her in 2021 asking to make amends after his overdose.

Talking about her now-husband, Edwards said, “She has a father who has raised her from day one and that is her dad. I couldn’t ask for a better father for my kids.”

It wasn’t until right before Allman was hospitalized for a second overdose in 2023 that he came back into Edwards’ and Ever’s life.

Edwards, who lives in Joshua Tree, California, claimed Allman asked to stay with her and escape Hollywood.

“A few weeks later, he overdosed and was hospitalized, and this was when Cher got in touch,” she alleged. “She wanted to know what had happened and then she asked me if it was true regarding Ever.”

Edwards gushed over her and Ever’s alleged new relationship with the pop icon, 79, explaining how they were invited to stay over at her Malibu, California, home in September 2025.

“She was lovely and kind and we had dinner,” Edwards said. “Cher asked Ever if she wanted to see her closet and showed her a pair of jeans she had worn in concert. It was a cool experience for her.”

Edwards described Cher as “childlike,” explaining the “I Got You Babe” emcee asked Ever about boys and played in the pool with her.

“She was like a kid herself,” Edwards claimed.

A rep for Cher wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The “Mama Mia” actress, who shares her son with her late ex-husband Gregg Allman, filed for conservatorship over Elijah for a second time last week, telling the court that his “drug dependency is at its worst.”

“Elijah has no ability to manage money, and any dollar he receives from his father’s trust (his only source of income) is immediately squandered without regard for his liabilities or well-being,” court documents exclusively obtained by Page Six read.

Elijah has also run into trouble with the law and was arrested in February for alleged assault and trespassing at a school.
