Savannah Guthrie could be back in her chair in just a few weeks.
A source tells Page Six that while plans may change as her motherās case develops, the host is hoping to return to the āTodayā show after her childrenās spring break.
Most schools are back in session in New York by April 10th.
We are told the journalist wants to spend as much time as possible with her husband Michael Feldman, and daughter Vale, 11, and son Charley, 9, before stepping back into the spotlight.
There are plenty of factors at play with the investigation and her own personal progress.
Her mother, Nancy, went missing from her Arizona home in January.
We have also heard that Hoda Kotb, who has been filling in, has a busy schedule coming up with the launch of her Joy 101 app. She recently held a wellness retreat in Scottsdale, Arizona, on March 13 to 15.
A source assures us that Kotbās plans arenāt adding pressure: if sheās not available, other anchors are on hand to fill in.
But another source close to the āTodayā show tells Page Six, āThere is no announcement regarding Savannahās return date, and Hoda will remain filling in for her.ā
Guthrie paid a visit to her co-workers at Studio 1A in Rockefeller Center on March 5, and thanked them for ācaring about my mom as much as I do.ā
āI wanted you to know that Iām still standing, and I still have hope, and Iām still me,ā she said. āAnd I donāt know what version of me that will be, but it will be.ā
She also confirmed that she would be returning to work.
āI have every intention of coming back,ā she told her colleagues. āI donāt know how to come back, but I donāt know how not to. Youāre my family. And I would like to try.ā
