Salma Hayek’s daughter, Valentina Paloma, is slowly morphing into her famous mom, with the pair sharing matching sartorial agendas. The actress stepped out alongside her 18-year-old daughter, husband, François-Henri Pinault, and step-daughter, Mathilde Pinault, for the Fondazione Cini, Isola Di San Giorgio dinner at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia on May 6 in Venice, Italy.

The 59-year-old oozed chic in a black gown that featured an asymmetric neckline and sleeveless design. The garment was adorned with silver sparkles that trickled in the light, and the bodice cascaded gracefully into a ruched skirt with a daring slit on the leg. The garment was accessorized with a classic black clutch and a pair of towering patent heels.

Valentina seemingly took style notes from her mom, as she wore a similar black gown that also featured an asymmetric neckline with a daring thigh-high slit and figure-hugging silhouette. However, unlike Salma’s sparkly version, the 18-year-old’s dress took a more minimalist approach. The garment was teamed with a silver clutch bag, a red manicure, and Valentina’s blonde locks were styled into bombshell waves.

Monochrome was clearly the memo for the occasion as Mathilde opted for a slinky black gown that featured long sleeves, a plunging neckline, and large cutouts on the bodice. Meanwhile, François-Henri looked suave in a navy suit and tie that was layered over a crisp white shirt.

Salma and her billionaire husband welcomed Valentina in 2007. Francois-Henri shares Mathilde and his son, Francois, with his first wife, Dorothée Lepère. He also fathered a son with supermodel Linda Evangelista named Augustin.

Despite her fashion flair, Valentina intends on following in her mom’s footsteps in Hollywood. “She’s going her own way,” Salma told Today. “She wants to study political science and then, as a minor, film because she wants to be a director. But she doesn’t want to study to be a director. She said, ‘It’s in my blood. I want to spend the time learning something more complicated.'”

Valentina celebrated her 18th birthday in September and her mom has previously opened up about her only child flying the nest. “When you’re a Mexican Lebanese mother, it’s a very difficult thought because we like them close,” she told People.

“But I’ve been talking about it with my husband for a very long time. I devoted myself to my family for 18 years, but we both know that once this happens, I’m going to devote myself to my community, to my craft. And he’s very excited for me to really try to go and explore what my greatest potentials are.”
