Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva have given fans a rare and personal insight into their private life as they marked a very special milestone together.
The Pretty Woman star, 73, and the Spanish publicist, 43, celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on Tuesday with a heartfelt Instagram post, sharing a collection of intimate throwback photos from their wedding day in 2018.
The romantic images captured the couple in a series of tender moments, from walking arm in arm through a lush garden setting to sharing a quiet kiss beneath blossoming trees.
In one particularly touching photograph, Alejandra gently cups Richard’s face as they lean in for a kiss, while another shows the pair strolling away together, arms wrapped around one another in a scene that feels effortlessly cinematic.
Alongside the images, Alejandra penned an emotional tribute reflecting on the day they tied the knot surrounded by family and close friends.

The couple also reveal that they draw on Buddhism to help them solve family issues. When asked how their shared faith influences their parenting, Richard replies: “Well, interesting you should bring that up, because we were just having a drama about one of our kids. [Alejandra] is always really good with [saying]: ‘OK, I know I want to strangle you right now, but I’m going to take a deep breath and we’re going to talk through this. OK, now what’s going on? I’d like to know what are you feeling.’ “
