Princess Eugenie has been pictured for the first time after announcing that she is pregnant with her third child.
The younger daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson was seen out in central London on Wednesday, revealing her adorable baby bump ahead of welcoming her new arrival this summer.
The mother-of-two was glowing after returning to social media with her exciting announcement earlier this week.
The royal, 36, was spotted out for a sunny walk through the city, wearing a maxi-length black dress, paired with a stylish pair of shades and trainers for a casual look.
The pictures revealed Eugenie’s sweet bump as the family prepares to welcome their new member.
Buckingham Palace revealed on Monday that Princess Eugenie is expecting her third child, adding that the King is “delighted”.
The mother-of-two also made a return to Instagram for the first time in months, sharing a sweet picture of her sons holding a baby scan, with the caption: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
The full statement from the Palace read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer.
“August (aged five) and Ernest (aged two) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.
“His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
The happy announcement is wonderful news for Eugenie and Jack after a difficult few months.
A missing detail
However, the statement, which was released by Buckingham Palace and not through Beatrice and Eugenie’s private office, contained a notable missing detail.
When Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced they were expecting their second child together, Athena, in 2024, a message from the Palace also added: “Both families are delighted with the news.”
When Eugenie’s second pregnancy was announced in 2023, the message also included a mention that the “family is delighted”.
This year’s shortened statement was likely intended to omit any mention of Andrew and Sarah, who have fallen further from grace in recent months over their links to Epstein.
