Pregnant Natalie Portman shares rare peek inside Parisian life after change to family dynamic

Natalie Portman is very private about her personal life, but she gave her fans a rare glimpse inside her Parisian lifestyle on Thursday.

The 44-year-old lived in the City of Light for two years after initially moving to the French capital with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied, in 2014, after he became the director of the Paris Opera Ballet.

She moved back to Paris in 2023 and decided to stay there with their two kids, son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, nine, after she and Benjamin finalized their divorce in February 2024 after 11 years of marriage.

Natalie uploaded a carousel of photos of “Paris lately” to Instagram, revealing her idyllic life that includes walks along the River Seine, admiring beautiful artwork, adventures in nature, time with her dog, and nighttime strolls around the city.

The glimpse into her daily life comes after she revealed changes to her family dynamic after announcing she is pregnant with her third child.

The Black Swan actress is expecting her first child with her partner, French musician Tanguy Destable, sharing the news in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in April.

Natalie admitted that she feels “lucky” and “grateful” to become a mother of three at 44, calling her pregnancy a “miracle.”

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she shared. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.

“I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing.”

She added: “And so I know how lucky it is. I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”

Natalie and Tanguy were first linked in March 2025 after they were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll through Paris. The pair was photographed embracing while heading to the Écoles Cinéma Club.

She continued: “There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp. And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”

Natalie revealed that she is physically feeling great in her third pregnancy. “I have more energy than I thought I might,” she admitted. She has been enjoying swimming and doing gyrotonics while spending time with her two children.

Tanguy is from Morlaix in northwestern France. He is an electronic music producer and released his first album in 2015. 

He was previously in a 10-year relationship with his ex-wife, French actress Louise Bourgoin. They share sons Étienne, born in April 2016, and Vadim, born in 2020.
