Aubrey Plaza put her baby bump on display for the first time on Wednesday.
The âWhite Lotusâ actress, 41, showed off her pregnant belly while walking her dog in New York City in new photos obtained by Page Six.
Plaza dressed casually in a blue coat, a burgundy shirt, grey sweatpants, Nike sneakers and a pair of black sunglasses.
People broke the news on Tuesday that Plaza is expecting her first child with her partner, actor Christopher Abbott, and is due in the fall.
âIt was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,â a source told the outlet, referring to the death of Plazaâs husband, Jeff Baena, in January 2025
âThey feel very blessed,â the insider added.
Plaza hid her baby bump when she attended Paris Fashion Week last month.
The Emmy nominee wore a red Piqué polo collar dress and a white skirt as she sat front row at the Lacoste show on March 8.
Itâs unclear when Plaza and Abbott became an official couple, but theyâve worked together multiple times including in the 2023-2024 off-Broadway revival of âDanny and the Deep Blue Seaâ and in the 2020 movie âBlack Bear.â
âHe cares, but he also doesnât care; itâs the best recipe for me for a scene partner,â Plaza said of Abbott during an interview with the New York Times in September 2023.
She added, âItâs fun, and itâs also good, and itâs also safe. I like to just throw things out the window, also laugh and mess around, and not take it so seriously. Itâs a hard combo to come by.â
Abbott is famous for his breakout role as Charlie in Lena Dunhamâs hit HBO show âGirls.â
His other notable projects include the USA Network series âThe Sinner,â the Apple TV miniseries âThe Crowded Roomâ and the Hulu show âCatch-22,â which earned him a Golden Globe nomination.
Plazaâs late husband Baena tragically died by suicide in January 2025. He was 47.
They got married in 2021, but separated four months before the directorâs death.
Last August, Plaza opened up about her grief during her appearance on her former âParks and Recreationâ co-star Amy Poehlerâs âGood Hangâ podcast.
âRight in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,â she said. âOverall, Iâm here and Iâm functioning.â
Plaza compared her grief to âa giant ocean of just awfulness thatâs just right there and I can see it.â
âSometimes I just want to dive into it and be in it,â Plaza continued. âAnd sometimes I look at it and sometimes I just try to get away from it, but itâs always there.â
