Paulina Porizkova reveals she’s getting ‘kicked out’ of her NYC apartment 4 days before her wedding

Paulina Porizkova’s countdown to her wedding isn’t off to a good start, as she revealed she’s being “kicked out” of her NYC apartment just days before she says, “I do.”

The 61-year-old announced that her “unsympathetic landlord” has refused to extend her lease on her Manhattan abode, which she’s lived in since 2021, four days before she is set to marry her fiancé, Jeff Greenstein, in Italy.

“No matter how great a tenant I was for six years, he didn’t really want to give us an extension on the lease, even though I begged and pleaded,” the model said on her Twenty Good Summers podcast, which she co-hosts with screenwriter Jeff.

“And so we have to move out of here four days before we get married in Italy. Not great,” she continued. 

“We are both over 60, and we are starting again,” Paulina added. “We’re starting over completely, both of us, because we are about to move out of this apartment that I love so much, that has kept me safe, and where I’ve sort of grown up to be a woman, I feel.”

Despite the eviction notice, Paulina admitted that she and Jeff are very “privileged” as they have several housing options.

“We’re very privileged souls,” she admitted. “I do have a country house that I co-own with my sons [Jonathan and Oliver]. And so we can move up there, which is kind of further away from New York City.

“Or we still have [Jeff’s] house in LA, which we are in the process of selling, but for the time being, we can go there.”

“We cannot complain, but it is an unexpected happenstance,” Jeff added. “This is not how we would have drawn it up. Getting kicked out of this apartment four days before the wedding and coming back to nothing in New York is not what we planned.”

Paulina and Jeff also shared the news of their eviction in a joint Instagram post earlier this week.

“Friends, we’re getting kicked out of our apartment four days before our wedding — thanks, Unsympathetic Landlord!” they penned.

“Which, along with some relevant emails from our faithful fanbase, spurred us to do an episode about moving: when to move in together, how to harmonize lives and tastes, and all the emotions such transitions unleash,” they added. “Pack a box and join the fun!”

Paulina began a romance with Jeff, known for working on Friends and Will & Grace, in February 2023, and he proposed in July 2025.

She was previously married to Ric Ocasek, lead singer of the rock band the Cars, for 28 years, with the pair separating in 2018.

In 2019, Paulina found Ric dead after an unspecified surgery, and it emerged that he had disinherited her and his two eldest sons,  Jonathan, 31, and Oliver, 27, claiming that before his surgery, Paulina had abandoned him. She settled the case with his estate in 2021.
