Influencer Nara Smith just revealed that her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer.
In an Instagram Reel shared with her 4.7 million followers, the mom-of-four explained that Whimsy was diagnosed in late 2025. “After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately,” Nara said.
The 24-year-old influencer continued: “A lot of you have probably realized that I’ve been posting a little less and this is the reason why. Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.”
Nara and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, 28, are also parents to daughters Rumble Honey, five, and Fawnie Golden, 10 months, as well as son Slim Easy, four. Keep reading to learn more about the family of six amid this heartbreaking news.
The young couple first met in 2019 when Lucky Blue slid into Nara’s DMs.
“I messaged her on Instagram about a year ago,” he admitted in a YouTube video. “I don’t know why I didn’t message her before I did, but it took me like a year to message her … but I messaged her, we started texting, I got her number.”
After messaging back and forth for a few days, Nara and Lucky spoke on the phone for the first time for seven hours, and continued talking on the phone every night before they met in person at Milan Fashion Week.
The two went on to have a long-distance relationship, with Lucky living in Los Angeles near his daughter, Gravity, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend Stormi Bree, and Nara in Germany.
Eight months after they got married, the couple welcomed their first child together, a little girl named Rumble Honey, on October 7, 2020. Rumble is a fixture of her mom’s social media and recently asked her mom to do her hair up with hot rollers.
In an Instagram Q&A in April 2024, Nara revealed that Rumble was her most difficult pregnancy. She experienced sickness throughout the nine months that caused her to lose weight.
“I lost 25 pounds, my anxiety was so bad and I was always so tired,” she wrote. “It’s so interesting how different every pregnancy is!”
A little over a year after Nara and Lucky welcomed Rumble, the influencer gave birth to Slim Easy on January 6, 2022. She hinted at the little boy’s future name in an Instagram post, writing: “Boy or girl? Can’t wait to meet you, S.”
“I love being a young mom and growing with my kids,” Nara wrote to Instagram, addressing being in her early 20s and having children. “I never feel like I’m ‘missing out’ or not ‘living life’ like a girl in her 20s. Everyone’s concept of what they want in life is unique to them and I wouldn’t change my journey at all.”
Nara and Lucky welcomed Whimsy Lou on April 11, 2024 and announced the birth on Instagram, writing: “Our little angel has arrived!” When the little girl was a year and a half, she was diagnosed with cancer.
While the parents kept this news private, Nara shared on Instagram that speaking with other parents and families going through similar things has been helpful.
“All of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me,” she said. “Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard.” She continued: “Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way that I can.”
Last June, Lucky and Nara announced they were expecting a fourth child. Fawnie Golden was born on September 27, 2025, which just happens to be Nara’s birthday too. When she started going into labor, Nara was 37 weeks pregnant and the family had just moved into a new home.
“Intuitively I knew I was going into labor but didn’t want to fully acknowledge it,” she wrote on Instagram. “I started timing them and slowly made my way home. The drive back to the house felt like hours and with every deep breath I took, I felt realization washing over me.”
