Meghan Trainor has made a dramatic double move, offloading her sprawling Los Angeles mansion on the very same day she revealed she was cancelling her highly anticipated tour.
The All About That Bass hitmaker, 32, quietly closed the deal on Thursday for $6,835,000 after the property spent barely a week on the market, according to reports. While the lightning-fast sale might raise eyebrows, the price tag represents only a modest gain for the singer, who purchased the estate in 2020 for $6.6 million.
Set across an impressive 14,164 square feet on more than an acre of land, the jaw-dropping home is every bit the A-list retreat. With seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, it offers not just space but serious star power, complete with a private recording studio, mirror-lined gym and even a full-size basketball court.
But it’s the lifestyle touches that truly elevate the property. Outside, the estate leans fully into resort-style living, boasting a pool with a waterslide, spa, tennis court, putting green, fire pit and multiple lounge and dining areas designed for effortless entertaining under the California sun. Inside, a sweeping double staircase sets the tone for bright, open-plan living spaces, while a chef’s kitchen anchors the home’s indoor-outdoor flow.
Upstairs, the luxurious primary suite features dual walk-in wardrobes, a spa-style bathroom with double showers and a private terrace offering a moment of calm above the city. And for downtime, there’s even a full arcade room, complete with a violet-felt pool table, pinball machines and classic shoot-’em-up games.
The property itself comes with a Hollywood pedigree, having previously been owned by Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, and even featured on Bravo’s Flipping Out during a renovation project led by Jeff Lewis that was ultimately abandoned.
Meghan’s former neighbourhood reads like a who’s who of celebrity royalty, with stars including Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, as well as Selena Gomez and Jennifer Lopez all reportedly living nearby.
The sale coincides with a major shift in Meghan’s personal and professional life. On the same day, she took to Instagram to announce she would be cancelling her Get In Girl Tour, which had been set to kick off on June 12 in Michigan before continuing across more than 30 North American dates.
“After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour,” she wrote. “Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take right now.”
The singer, who shares her children with husband Daryl Sabara, explained that she needs to focus on being “home and present” with her family.
“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” she added, reassuring supporters that she “will be back soon” and “can’t wait” for them to hear her upcoming music.
The decision follows a candid admission that she has been undergoing “heavy therapy” while working through challenges in her marriage. In a recent interview with US Weekly, Meghan revealed she had been addressing relationship tensions while recording her seventh studio album, Toy With Me, which is still set for release on April 24.
