Another candle on the cake.
Meghan Markle took to Instagram Tuesday to share photos of her jumping into a pool to celebrate her 45th birthday.
In the images, the Duchess of Sussex rocked a black one-piece bathing suit and sunglasses as she plunged into the water while holding a handful of birthday balloons.
âThank you for the birthday love! đ,â she captioned the post, which was set to the tune of Cliff Richard and The Shadowsâ 1963 hit, âSummer Holiday.â
Page Six exclusively reported that some of the royal family will acknowledge Markleâs birthday â while others may ignore her special day amid her ongoing estrangement from her husband Prince Harryâs family.
â[King Charles III] is a scrupulously polite man, and Iâm quite certain he would wish to send his daughter-in-law his birthday wishes,â royal commentator Tom Sykes exclusively told us.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Page Six that the monarch, 77, would âquietlyâ send a birthday card or modest gift âthrough his staffâ to the former âSuitsâ actress.
âCharles has always had a compassionate streak, and despite everything thatâs happened, he has rarely gone out of his way to be overtly unkind toward Meghan,â Schofield told us. âA discreet gesture would be entirely in keeping with his character.â
However, Sykes believes Harryâs brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton, will give Markle the cold shoulder.
âI donât think they will be expecting any [birthday wishes] from Prince William and Catherine,â the author shared, adding that the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, will not acknowledge Markleâs birthday âin any capacity.â
Schofield added that the relationship between the As Ever founder and her in-laws âsimply isnât there anymoreâ after Markle and the Duke of Sussex, 41, quit the royal family in 2020.
âThey believe Meghan played a significant role in the breakdown of family trust, and I think any suggestion that theyâre secretly exchanging birthday wishes belongs more in the realm of wishful thinking than reality,â she claimed.
Harry and his wife have been easing back into Charlesâ good graces.
The couple and their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, met privately with Harryâs dad and his wife, Queen Camilla, last month.
Though a source told Page Six that the reunion âwasnât entirely warm and fuzzy,â the Invictus Games founder may stay in a room at Buckingham Palace when he returns to the UK in September.
