Meghan Markle lands biggest career breakthrough since leaving royal life

Meghan Markle has scored a major career victory after receiving her first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination for her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex’s show has been nominated in the Outstanding Lifestyle Program category at the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards, marking a significant milestone in her post-royal career.

With Love, Meghan, which premiered on Netflix in 2025, coincided with the launch of Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, with many of the brand’s products featured throughout the series.

The show will compete against George to the Rescue, The Motherhood, The Wizard of Paws and A Different Breed for the coveted award.

Across its two seasons, Meghan welcomed a host of celebrity guests, including Mindy Kaling, Tan France and Chrissy Teigen, as viewers followed her love of cooking, gardening, entertaining and home life.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on 30 October.

The nomination comes as another boost for Meghan and Prince Harry’s partnership with Netflix, despite As Ever announcing earlier this year that it had ended its partnership with the streaming giant as the brand prepared to “stand on its own.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously signed a reported $100 million deal with Netflix after stepping back as senior working royals in 2020, with the streaming service producing a string of documentaries and lifestyle projects through Archewell Productions.

The couple also signed a new first-look deal with Netflix last year, giving the streamer first option on future projects developed by their production company.

One of those upcoming projects is No Way Out: The Searing True Story of Men Under Siege, a film based on Major Adam Jowett’s memoir about British soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

While With Love, Meghan divided opinion following its release, the Daytime Emmy nomination signals recognition from within the television industry and represents Meghan’s first nomination from the prestigious awards body.
