Martha Stewart is calling a foul on Jalen Brunson.
The lifestyle maven confronted the New York Knicks player almost a year after he broke her big toe during a courtside collision.
âIt wasnât your fault. It was my fault for wearing open-toed shoes,â she admitted during Brunson and Josh Hartâs âRoommates Showâ on Sunday.
The 84-year-old then recalled, âYou jumped up really fast and I remember saying, âItâs OK.â But you had no idea that you had hurt me. I didnât say you hurt me. I said it was OK, but it wasnât OK at all.â
After the game, the cookbook author headed to the Hospital for Special Surgery on Manhattanâs Upper East Side, where they confirmed she had a fracture.
âTheyâve named it the âStewart-Brunson fracture,ââ Stewart joked. âI have an X-ray, Iâm going to leave you a picture of it. It was actually a break, so anyways, itâs better now. It took one year to heal.â
Now, the Emmy winner looks back at that May night as something âsilly, stupid and funny.â
Despite there being no hard feelings, Brunson said he doesnât feel âtoo greatâ about the situation.
âHave you broken anyone elseâs toes?â Stewart joked, to which the 29-year-old responded, âNot that I know of.â
During their chat, the duo confirmed that Brunson called her over FaceTime to apologize for hurting Stewart.
âAnd he sent me a basketball for my grandson,â Stewart added.
During the May 21 Knicks playoff game against the Indiana Pacers at New York Cityâs Madison Square Garden, Brunson crashed into Stewart, which ended with her fracturing her toe.
Stewart talked about the incident during an appearance on âThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonâ in December.
âNever, ever wear open-toed shoes to a game like that when youâre sitting on the floor,â the TV host warned when Jimmy Fallon noted that she was wearing strappy gold sandals to the game.
Stewart also shared her own observation about the 6-foot-2 competitor, saying, âHeâs not even big⊠he has big feet though.â
