Lady Kitty Spencer’s daughter wears fairytale dress straight from Beauty and the Beast

Lady Kitty Spencer is currently enjoying a sun-drenched trip to California, and on Thursday evening, the niece of the late Princess Diana shared a beautiful picture of her toddler daughter, Athena, wearing a lovely yellow dress, adorned with a summery gingham print. 

The little girl looked to be playing hide and seek with her mother, and the camera showed her long blonde hair, finished with the cutest blue bow. Athena’s dress is by the royally loved children’s brand La Coqueta. Known as the ‘Yellow Gingham Aimee Girl Dress’, it’s priced at £79 and is selling rapidly.

It’s made from super-soft cotton poplin, with a flattering fit-and-flare silhouette. Designed with a floaty skirt, it also has a nostalgic Peter Pan collar, as well as contrasting blue ric rac embroidered trims, giving a vintage-inspired touch.

The dress is pure fairytale fashion, almost reminiscent of the gown the character of Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast wore. The film’s heroine famously wears a blue bow in her hair with her everyday pinafore, before her transformation into a beautiful lemon-coloured ballgown.

Athena’s stylish wardrobe

It appears that Lady Kitty, who is signed with Storm Model Management, enjoys investing in timeless clothes for her daughter. Earlier this year, the daughter of Earl Spencer shared a plethora of stylish pictures of herself and her little girl on the beach in South Africa. In the snaps, Athena can be seen rocking the cutest frilled romper by Freya Lillie.

Athena’s entrance into the world

Lady Kitty has always protected her daughter’s identity, never sharing her face online, and hasn’t often discussed her foray into motherhood. However, during a joint Tatler interview with her sisters, twins Eliza and Amelia, last year, the Dolce & Gabbana ambassador made several revelations about her little girl.

Kitty told the publication that Athena is a “little Taurus” who is “very outdoorsy and like a spinning top,” before adding: “She certainly has two doting, laughing aunts, who say they are ‘steering her in our direction.'”

 Kitty added, “She’s very similar to the twins. It’s so funny…. So cool for her when she has these two aunts that come bursting through the door. I don’t think she thinks there’s an age gap… So there’s actually a triplet there for them. When the girls are on the phone, and she doesn’t want them to go, she pulls out her whole repertoire of tricks.”
