This was his time to dance.
Kevin Bacon was attacked by a swarm of bees while out on a hike with his daughter, Sosie, and her partner, Scoot McNairy, this week.
The “Footloose” star recounted the startling incident in a hilarious video shared to his Instagram on Thursday.
“So I went for a hike the other day with Sosie and Scoot,” Bacon, 67, began. “Scoot was in the front, Sosie was in the middle, and I was holding up the rear.”
He continued, “Scoot points out to the left that there’s a beehive over there. Sosie says, ‘Dad, hey, there’s a beehive. Watch out.’”
Although the “Mystic River” star made a point to keep his distance from the beehive, its buzzy inhabitants apparently had a score to settle with Bacon.
“So these bees, they must not have liked my work or something because they left the two of them alone, and they went full on after me. ‘Let’s attack KB,’” the actor joked. “Bees stinging me everywhere, including underneath my shirt.”
And while Sosie, 34, didn’t catch the bee attack on camera, she was more than happy to reenact the entire incident for her famous father.
“Now, it was very nice of my daughter to not take out her phone and start videoing this epic bee sting dance that I was doing,” Bacon laughed. “But I asked her if there was any way that she could recreate it from memory.”
The “Apollo 13” star’s Instagram video then cut to a clip of his daughter acting out her dad’s “epic bee sting dance.”
“There’s bees in there,” the “Smile” star said before thrashing around, swatting at a swarm of make-believe bees with her hat and ripping off her sweater.
“The bees attack KB by [Sosie Bacon]” the Golden Globe winner captioned the video.
But the actor and his daughter weren’t the only family members to get in on the fun, as Bacon’s wife of nearly 40 years, Kyra Sedgwick, rushed to the comments section to laugh at Sosie’s reenactment.
“Soooooo gooood!” the “Closer” actress wrote alongside a pair of laughing emojis.
“It was nothing more nothing less than that very dance,” Sosie added.
Bacon and Sedgewick, 60, met on the set of the TV movie “Lemon Sky” in 1987 and tied the knot one year later.
They welcomed son Travis, 36, in 1989, followed by Sosie three years later.
The Bacon clan will make its big screen debut as a family in the upcoming flick “Family Movie.”
Bacon, Sedgewick and their kids will star in the comedy horror as the Smiths, a family that sets out to make a low-budget horror movie before discovering a real dead body on set, per a SXSW synopsis.
“The whole time we were shooting, we kept going, ‘God, this is just so great. This is so great,” the “Taking Chance” star told the Hollywood Reporter in March of the forthcoming film, which he and Sedgewick are directing together.
“When we were in prep and as soon as we were all four of us together on site, it was better than I could have imagined,” he added.
