Kelly Ripa exposes husband Mark Consuelos for ’embarrassing’ appearance

Kelly Ripa playfully teased her husband, Mark Consuelos, after recalling a hilarious anecdote during the July 24 episode of LIVE! The couple discussed a time when they visited their daughter, Lola, at summer camp in Maine.

The ABC host shared that parents were asked to join their children in the camp’s “snake lake.” “I keep going back to the time Lola was at summer camp,” said Kelly.

“You had to be the swim parent to get in the snake lake. Cause there were snakes in the lake, and I simply refused. And all the other moms refused too. And we were like, look, look, we’ve done everything else for this camp, ‘You’re getting in the lake.'”

Mark then shared his version of events. “So, yeah, it was all the dads did this. All the dads did this with their kids, when we went to visit Lola in Maine, and I had been racing on a bike team for a couple years at that point. And so my legs were bigger, like your quads just get big,” he explained.

“And you were shaving your whole body,” added Kelly. “Well, no, no. You shaved your legs in case you fall when you fall,” replied Mark, to which Kelly teased: “And your arms.”

“That’s not because we thought it looked good,” responded Mark.

Kelly continued to playfully call out her husband for his appearance. “I’m not saying it’s because you thought it looked good. I’m just saying, I’m giving everyone the proper… I want them to conceptualize. I want them to go on a visual memory with me that they did not witness, okay? So a picture of Mark shaved down,” she shared.

“Yeah. And so I put, I just threw a bathing suit in, and I had like regular bathing suits, but these were a little shorter. They were shorts, but they were just a little bit, like maybe five inches or less. And I put them on, and I was like, ‘oh, no.’ I mean, shaved legs, really short shorts,” admitted Mark.

“And Mark came out, he came out of the bunk, and he looks at me, and he goes, ‘Poor Lola.’ It was amazing. It would be the equivalent, right, of, say, let’s just say the moms all had to participate in the swim off the dock. Let’s just say we had to do that. And all the moms are wearing, like, a swimming suit, you know, like a proper one-piece swimming suit, and say, I accidentally, mistakenly threw in a string bikini. Like, it would be the equivalent. Mark was like, ‘Oh, my God,'” explained Kelly.

Mark then attempted to conclude the conversation. “Yeah, it was embarrassing, he said, to which Kelly replied: “The other moms ran to the dock, though. Suddenly, the other moms took control of the cameras.”

The couple share three children – Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. Lola is currently pursuing a music career and her sound can be described as soulful, bluesy R&B with jazzy undertones due to her mature, husky vocals over smooth beats, with comparisons to artists like Amy Winehouse and SZA.
