Katie Couric, 69, looks worlds away from her day job in stunning sparkling dress at stepdaughter’s NYC wedding

Katie Couric pulled out all the stops for her stepdaughter, Allie Molner‘s wedding on Saturday.

The 69-year-old looked worlds away from her day job and swapped her stylish suits for a sensational sparkling black dress to witness Allie, 28, tie the knot to Dylan Orenstein at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

Katie shared a stunning photo of her stepmother-of-the-bride look on her Instagram Stories on Monday, revealing she had chosen a Naeem Khan dress for the special occasion.

The journalist looked beautiful in her sleeveless, floor-length dress, which featured large, white floral details along the waist.

“Thank you @naeemkhannyc for my beautiful dress!” she captioned the post, alongside a white heart emoji.

Katie and her husband, John Molner, also shared a joint Instagram post that featured highlights from the wedding day and showed off Allie’s exquisite strapless gown.

“Oh happy day! Congrats to @alliemolner and @dylanorenstein17 on their wedding day. May 9, 2026. We love you (photos at the @waldorfnyc  wedding and reception at @thepoolnyc,” the caption read.

Ahead of the glamorous nuptials, Katie shared with People: “[Allie’s] getting married on May 9, the day before Mother’s Day. And so that’s gonna be really fun and exciting for both of us, for both John and me, and Allie’s mom and her brother, Henry, who’s officiating, and Dylan, her fiancé, and all their friends.”

Katie added that she has “gotten to the point in my life where I really cherish and relish and appreciate happy occasions, like weddings and births and graduations.”

She said: “I’m just grateful and grateful that everyone is doing well and feeling well and has found fulfillment and purpose.”

Alongside Allie, Katie is also stepmom to John’s son, Henry, 31, and mother to daughters Ellie, 34, and Carrie, 30, whom she welcomed with her late first husband, Jay Monahan, who died in 1998 at 42 of colon cancer.

Katie met John through mutual friends in 2012. The two fell madly in love and got engaged the following year, and tied the knot in a sweet backyard ceremony in 2014.

She previously shared what she loves most about her husband, telling People: “John is so funny. He’s just got this incredibly dry and wry sense of humor, and he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s just really good company.”

She also revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that the two are a case of opposites attract. Katie explained: “I met an incredible person, and I could not be happier. He’s so great, and he puts up with me. I’m a total mess and he’s super neat, and he calls me tornado.”
