Kate Hudson has officially signed off for the summer – and it looks like she’s having the best time!
The Hollywood star is back in Greece – one of her favorite places in the world – to enjoy some quality family time.
Starting her trip in Athens with her two youngest children, Bingham, 14, and Rani, seven, Kate shared several snapshots on social media from their holiday.
These included a stunning photo of the mother-of-three lounging by the pool in a black string bikini while reading a book with her daughter. Another picture from the reel saw Kate and her daughter in the sea during a trip to the beach, along with a selfie of the Oscar-nominee and her children at a restaurant at night.
In the caption, Kate wrote: “Perfect start to summer @ooaesthesis.” Kate is also mom to 22-year-old son Ryder, who recently graduated from NYU.
Last week, Goldie Hawn – who is also in Greece with Kurt Russell – shared a picture from their vacation, which featured Kate’s son Bingham, along with Oliver Hudson’s two sons, Bhodi and Wilder, and her stepson Boston Russell.
Kate often talks about her love of Greece and previously spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her ideal day on vacation there.
She said: “My perfect day is a vacation day, so I wake up on an island in Greece to the sound of my kids running around … I get a double espresso and walk down to the sea for a swim.”
After heading back to the house at 8:30am, she described her ideal accommodation as “one of those adorable Greek houses with whitewashed walls and blue shutters”.
For lunch, she’s a big fan of “fried zucchini and moussaka at a seaside tavern”. She added: “Greece is my favourite vacation spot; I feel really at home there”. The star said that the end of her day would include watching the sunset, being with her family and enjoying a cocktail.
It’s been a busy – and exciting – year for Kate and her family. At the start of the year, the actress was in the depths of awards season, where she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Song Sung Blue.
Most recently, Kate’s oldest son graduated from NYU – where he attended the performing arts school. Ryder became the first in his family to graduate from college. He was joined by his mom, dad Chris Robinson, grandparents Goldie and Kurt, and his girlfriend, who also graduated.
His former stepdad, Matt Bellamy, was also in attendance. Kate explained in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that her eldest son is dedicated to the craft and “wants to be doing good work”. “He’s really focusing on college, he’s not trying to get in front of the camera just to get in front of a camera,” she explained.
