Joanna Gaines is trying to juggle a home renovation as well as her kids’ last two weeks of school.

On Monday, May 11, the Magnolia founder took to Instagram and gave fans a glimpse into her home renovation at her Waco, Texas home, starting with a clip of her explaining why she isn’t moving out of her home despite the renovation.

“I’m trying to do this renovation in pieces. I am stubborn in that I refuse to move out,” she said, noting her kids have two weeks left of school.

Joanna and her husband Chip Gaines are parents to kids Drake, 21, who is in his second year of college, daughter Ella Rose, 19, who is also off in college, Duke, 17, Emmie Kay, 16, and son Crew, seven.

“This is going to be a fun two weeks of trying to figure out how to end the school year well, but also work through mothers’ emotional challenges through renovation,” she added.

She went on to share details of what’s next in the renovation, and quipped it’s “kind of funny that this is my normal.”

“Living through the farm renovation is building character, but getting a front-row seat to it all coming together is my favorite part. After almost 15 years, my kitchen is getting a whole new look,” she added in her caption.
