Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are building what could be their most personal project yet, a breathtaking $33 million ‘forever home’ on England’s South Coast that blends high design, family living and a back-to-nature lifestyle in the most unexpected of settings.
According to reports, the Hollywood power couple have secured a sprawling 20-acre seafront site, where a striking new-build home is rising just moments from a naturist beach, a detail that has raised eyebrows, even if the famously confident duo are unlikely to be fazed.
The property itself is nothing short of extraordinary. Designed in a bold brutalist architectural style, the single-level, U-shaped home has been meticulously planned around a central courtyard, complete with a sleek lap pool that forms the heart of the residence.
While the design is contemporary and minimalist, the materials, including clay brick, cedar shingle, oak and lead, lend it a warm, grounded feel that reflects its natural surroundings.
Set against uninterrupted coastal views, the home boasts five bedrooms and its own private 1,200-foot stretch of beach, offering the family a rare sense of seclusion. Beyond the main residence, the grounds read like a countryside dream. There is a vast boating lake spanning 42,000 square feet, a wild swimming pond, and even an enormous treehouse designed for the couple’s children, Jack, eight, and Isabella, four.
Fitness and wellbeing have clearly been front of mind in the design. A fully equipped gym and indoor lap pool are being built to suit the pair’s famously active lifestyles, while a separate outbuilding will house stables, a nod to Rosie’s lifelong passion for horses.
For the model, this move represents more than just a change of address. It marks a return to the kind of life she grew up with in rural Devon, one she has long dreamed of recreating for her own children.
“I’ve been dreaming of this since I left home,” Rosie recently shared, describing her vision of a slower, more grounded existence. “It will be mud and kids climbing trees… I want peace.” Her childhood, she explained, was “rustic, outdoorsy, wild, simple,” spent in a cottage surrounded by animals, where she learned self-sufficiency from a young age. Now, after decades spent between London and Los Angeles, she is intentionally stepping away from the fast-paced, “destination-driven” lifestyle of city living.
The couple, who have been together since 2010, have already begun that transition. They recently sold their Malibu beach house and have been spending more time in the UK, including at their Chelsea townhouse, as they lay the foundations for a more permanent move.
Their new coastal retreat, originally designed by one of the Royal Family’s trusted architects before being reimagined to suit Statham’s minimalist taste, is expected to cost around $33 million in total, including construction.
Despite the tranquillity of the setting, the build has not gone entirely unnoticed. Locals have reportedly expressed frustration over construction traffic, while curious onlookers have already spotted Statham strolling along the nearby beach with friends, including his Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels co-star Vinnie Jones.
