Helen Hunt made the best of Paris Fashion Weekâs Fall/Winter 2026-27 showcase, bringing her daughter along for it too.
The Oscar-winning actress, 62, attended Stella McCartneyâs Fall/Winter 2026-27 show at Le Grand Manege Jean Caucanas on Wednesday, March 4, joined by her daughter Makena Lei Carnahan.
Makena, 21, is Helenâs only child, who she shares with her ex Matthew Carnahan. Helen began a relationship with the producer, 65, back in 2001, welcoming Makena in May of 2004. They split in 2017 after nearly two decades together.
Since 2022, the As Good as It Gets actress has been dating fellow actor Jeffrey Nordling. The pair first dated in 1988 before reconnecting and restarting a relationship in 2022. She was previously married for 17 months between 1999 and 2000 to Hank Azaria.

Helen went with a billowing white top paired with a pleather gray midi-length skirt and bright red heels, which were identical to the pair her daughter wore. Makena also added a matching handbag to her look, a gray plaid suit with a black t-shirt bearing the phrase âCome Together.â

Their last appearance together was in June of 2019 at the Working: A Musical Opening Night in New York City.
The 21-year-old studied at Northwestern University and has made a few on-screen appearances like her mom, including a 2019 episode of the Mad About You reboot. But she has since pivoted to music.

Per their website, they âplay indie music of the folk/rock varietyâ and have been playing âaround the bars and houses and venues of Chicago for a little more than two years, interspersed by a few self-booked tours around the Midwest and East Coast.â
Their bio also explains that it was Makena who got the group started, adding: âMak gets the lionâs share of credit for the bandâs beginnings. She put up a flyer in a Northwestern building that said something like âWanna be in a super awesome band?â which Jamie responded to, even though there wasnât much time left before he graduated and went to some other metropolitan area to be a yuppy.â

After about 6 months of playing duo â open mics, house shows, etc. â Lily miraculously responded to the same flyer that had netted Jamie. Within about 20 seconds of playing Scott Street in a dark practice room at the Northwestern music school, the band version of Widemouth was born.â
