Heather Graham may have one of the most enviable bikini bodies in Hollywood at 56 years old, but she is more than ready to share the love when it comes to spilling her beauty secrets.
The HangoverĀ star spoke to Us Weekly about how she maintains her youthful visage, and revealed that age taught her how to care for herself and prioritize her health. āIām not saying Iām always happy, I feel like Iāve figured out how to enjoy my life more as I get older,ā she told the publication.
āCareer is important, but if you donāt have your health, you donāt have anything. Iām lucky to be alive and healthy. Thatās number one, over my careerĀ and over everything else.ā
The basis of Heatherās daily routine is getting plenty of sleep. āSometimes people make fun of me ā I can get 10 hours, sometimes 11. I love sleeping,ā she shared. She also enjoys working up a sweat at yoga and doing meditation sessions to clear her mind and improve her mental health.
The blonde beauty revealed that her diet has changed drastically over the years, to where she now focuses on eating balanced meals rather than loading up on sugar.
āI had unhealthy eating habits,ā Heather recalled. āThis is terrible, but I would be like, āI donāt want to eat dinner. Iām gonna go to the grocery store and buy, like, eight candy bars or a pint of ice cream. And then Iād be like, okay, that was bad. So now Iām just not gonna eat any regular food.ā
She discovered a love of cooking in her later years and now prefers to connect with friends through cooking. She also doesnāt drink alcohol or do drugs, which helps to keep her body in the best shape.Ā
Heather got candid about the pressures of looking youthful in Hollywood, and spoke about the means by which many celebrities try to achieve this seemingly impossible goal.
āIāve never had an actual operation where theyāre cutting my face open,ā she explained. āBut Iāve tried microneedling, Botoxā¦and a bunch of lasery things. Iām happy there are these halfway steps. You can do something, but you donāt have to do some huge thing.ā
The A-lister added that she was fearful of going too far if she ever underwent a cosmetic procedure like a facelift. āI donāt want to look freaky. My goal is to look natural,ā she said. āI think it looks better to be getting slightly older than looking like you had some kind of weird plastic surgery. I think itās great that now we have a middle ground.ā
As for GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, which seem to be the talk of Tinseltown with stars like Oprah, Kelly Clarkson and Serena Williams sharing their weight loss journeys with the world, Heather shared that she was not interested in going on the medication.
āIt seems like some people love it and I can totally see the appeal,ā she explained. āBut I feel fearful people havenāt been taking it long enough to know if there are bad side effects.ā
