Heather Graham may have one of the most enviable bikini bodies in Hollywood at 56 years old, but she is more than ready to share the love when it comes to spilling her beauty secrets.
The Hangover star spoke to Us Weekly about how she maintains her youthful visage, and revealed that age taught her how to care for herself and prioritize her health. âIâm not saying Iâm always happy, I feel like Iâve figured out how to enjoy my life more as I get older,â she told the publication.
âCareer is important, but if you donât have your health, you donât have anything. Iâm lucky to be alive and healthy. Thatâs number one, over my career and over everything else.â
The basis of Heatherâs daily routine is getting plenty of sleep. âSometimes people make fun of me â I can get 10 hours, sometimes 11. I love sleeping,â she shared. She also enjoys working up a sweat at yoga and doing meditation sessions to clear her mind and improve her mental health.
The blonde beauty revealed that her diet has changed drastically over the years, to where she now focuses on eating balanced meals rather than loading up on sugar.
âI had unhealthy eating habits,â Heather recalled. âThis is terrible, but I would be like, âI donât want to eat dinner. Iâm gonna go to the grocery store and buy, like, eight candy bars or a pint of ice cream. And then Iâd be like, okay, that was bad. So now Iâm just not gonna eat any regular food.â
She discovered a love of cooking in her later years and now prefers to connect with friends through cooking. She also doesnât drink alcohol or do drugs, which helps to keep her body in the best shape.Â
Heather got candid about the pressures of looking youthful in Hollywood, and spoke about the means by which many celebrities try to achieve this seemingly impossible goal.
âIâve never had an actual operation where theyâre cutting my face open,â she explained. âBut Iâve tried microneedling, BotoxâŠand a bunch of lasery things. Iâm happy there are these halfway steps. You can do something, but you donât have to do some huge thing.â
The A-lister added that she was fearful of going too far if she ever underwent a cosmetic procedure like a facelift. âI donât want to look freaky. My goal is to look natural,â she said. âI think it looks better to be getting slightly older than looking like you had some kind of weird plastic surgery. I think itâs great that now we have a middle ground.â
As for GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, which seem to be the talk of Tinseltown with stars like Oprah, Kelly Clarkson and Serena Williams sharing their weight loss journeys with the world, Heather shared that she was not interested in going on the medication.
âIt seems like some people love it and I can totally see the appeal,â she explained. âBut I feel fearful people havenât been taking it long enough to know if there are bad side effects.â
